Kingdom Hearts II i need help with sephiroth!!!!

hello i cant beat sephiroth i am on level 79 and can not beat him i have all the special moves from the forms but i cant beat him HELP ME

 

You need at least:

Abilities:

Explosion

As long a combo as possible

Aerial recovery

High jump level 2

Aerial dodge level 1

Berserk

Ground and aerial finishing moves

Item boost



Items:

Elixir x2 (no matter if 1 is Mega)

4 hi - potions

Customise all onto your quick menu with curaga



First before anything just mash the triangle button until you block his
attack, then unleash a combo or two upon him. (don’t use a finisher,
you’ll miss) He’ll disappear and slowly walk towards you. Then he’ll
knock you into the air, so just recover and unleash 1 combo on him,
then dive down and jump away. (Try to stay on the ground as much
as possible, you cant use reaction commands in the air!) after a while
some black blobs will appear around you, just try to jump away, the
cause very minor damage! Fight as normal until he starts to Rise into
the air. Attack him VERY QUICK if he tries that because hell put you
down to 1 Hp and Mp If that move happens to connect, quickly use
an elixir and return to normal. Sooner or later he’ll become all purple,
but just run away from his attacks and get him when he knocks you
into the air. Sometimes he goes into the air and you think he’s gonna
do that move but he’s not he just launches meteors at you to avoid
just double jump from side to side. When you are about to finish him
off you’ll need some Mp because you need to use a finishing move
on him to destroy his last fragment of health.

EDIT: i made that walkthrough a very long time ago, i think it was about 4 days after the game came out, so i didnt know the names of the moves (e.g. "Descend, Heartless angel")

 

Have the abilities Cloudstrife252 said. Here's how I defeated him:

In the beginning of the battle spam on the triangle until the block reaction command is gone. Then lash out at him. Stop so your finisher wont come in. Then attack. It's easier to get his health down without damaging yours. If you use the finisher, quickly get close to him. Because he'll teleport to you and knock you in the air. When that happens, click O and attack him. If you miss an attack, and he starts swinging his blade at you, jump and aerial jump and float. You'll miss that attack, and when he's done, start attacking him.

When he summons dark orbs around you, use Reflega. And continue to attack him.

After you have his health half-way, he'll rise in the air. Jump then Aerial Jump and attack him. If you miss your health will be 1 and your MP will be 0. If you miss him, use Curaga when he whips his arm down. If you time it right, your health will be 100%.

After you have at least 3 bars of health for Sephiroth, he'll have dark energy around him and his speed will dramatically increase. Your best bet is to Glide around. When he swings his blade from afar, the second swing will reach you. So do the same thing when that happens.

He will rise up in the air, this time he'll send Meteors towards you. Aerial Jump side to side to dodge them. When that ends, use the Trinity Limit. Use an elixir and Trinity him again.

If you have at least 6 Elixirs, use this technique.

Trinity Limit > Elixir > Trinity Limit > Elixir > Trinity Limit > Elixir > Trinity Limit

He'll be dead within 30 seconds. Hope I helped.
