Question I Need Help With Brushing

I'm absolutely horrid at it. I was wondering if anyone had some pointers or knew a tutorial I could read up on. Thanks in advance!

 

By brushing do you mean smudging or actual brush tool?
I can probably help you with the brush tool, and depending what program you use I have a smudge setting that you could play with. :3

 

Yea, smudging, brushing, etc. I'm really only good with effects. xD I use Photoshop CS3, and a smudge setting would be awesome to play around with. =D
