Hmmm, well I can tell you this addiction is normal, I've seen it happen a lot. You need to obviously only take them when needed and soon the need should die down (as long as it's kept to the right level). Too much will increase the addiction but too little will make you feel weird as you said. I can't help you out loads about it but I can tell you that it will come easier in time. When you think you need some just do something else to take you mind off of it and (This may work, well it worked for me and my chocolate addiction x3) every time you want some methynphenadate eat something else (like an apple). If it works your mind will associate the need for the drug with apples so will turn into a apple addiction, until you get bored with them and it dies down.

I really can't help much, I say this based on my chocolate addiction which is nothing in comparison really, I can't truely understand a drug addiction but I wanted to at least try to help. :)

you should also talk to your doctor about your addiction and see if he or she can perscribe another medication that won't make you feel that way because some medications will have a specific side effect depending on what you take and I know how you feel in a way because I take rispedone for my tourettes and OCD so my body is addicted to it now because I've been taking rispedone my whole life ever sence I've been diagnosed with tourettes and OCD so yeah your not alone in that dude.
