Today I learned something about Marluxia flowers. As most of you know, they are Japanese Cherry Blossoms. Well besides being the unofficial flower of Japan, they also are a symbol for death. That's right, death. Which makes sense in Marluxia's case!!!
He uses a scythe, which is also associated with death. So what do you think? It supports my theory that's he's straight in my opinion. But to each his own I say.

    Cherry blossoms=death
    Nickname=graceful assassin
Your theory sounds good to me.

    Another "important" thing to mention.
Cherry blossom is translated to "Sakura" in Japanse.
Sakura is a very common girl's name in Japan apparently (since I've heard it being used a lot)
My rabbit's name is Zakura the Killer Rabbit
    As her name says; she's a monster:p

I didn't know they were a symbol of death but now it's all clear to me now... Zakura the Killer Rabbit is a creepy name to start, not to mention that her father's name was Rambo (I'm not kidding!)

Sakura blossoms are a symbol of death as much any other flower, they just get labeled as such for being the most popular flower. They can also be seen as a sign of rebirth as well, taking into account the withering in winter and the blooming in spring.

They're more of a symbol of short-life because they don't last long, but that's pretty close to being a symbol of death.

Well, they're not so much the symbol of death, in the way a rose is the symbol for love. Cherry Blossoms are often considered as a scene for passing, when someone dies, but is headed toward a good future. More importantly, it's only when the petals fall from the tree, that they are considered to be a symbol for death.

Aside from all of that, Marulxia's sexual preference really isn't supported by this. Not only that, but to be quite honest, if Nobodies can't feel emotions, then I'm pretty sure they don't have sexual preferences either. I mean, it just seems so odd that a Nobody could be straight or gay, when they don't even have a heart to be able to feel the emotional bond, and yet can still feel the physical one?
Kind of detrimental to what they are, honestly.
And as for Axel and Roxas, they're just friends. Everyone elaborates on it, because Axel had his little fit at the end, but let's be honest, if your best friend all of a sudden had to be killed, and you had to be the one to do it, wouldn't you get a little teary-eyed?

    Ugh, hate Aku-Roku...

by that token, if they have no heart with which to feel emotions and sexual preferences, then why does Axel care so much for what happens to Roxas? They obviously aren't as hollow as initially thought.

And.... why are we talking about the sexual preference of video game characters?

A very good point. Koru-chan. Why are we talking about the sexual preference of video game characters. My life is gaining pathetic points.

I always thought that Cherry Blosssoms are symbols for mourning, or sorrow, or something like that, or so I've read. But, still, this is the most interesting thing I've learned so far today. Cool find.

There is a thing called lust:rolleyes:
JKJKJK...sorry couldnt resist. I DO agree with you though:p

I didnt even know they were cherry blossoms, I was always under the impression they were roses[and im still pretty sure they are in the manga? idk i mean he does use more than one plant in the mangas]...
Very interesting idea about the whole death thing- thanks for sharing :D I doagree that this has no bearing whatsoever on Marluxia's sexuality. I think he is an affeminate man, but regardless of that Ill always love him ^^
