I used to walk around with a shirt, simple jeans, and semi long hair, with facial hair. I had not a care in the world. I could come home early and watch my animes and play my interactive videos when I got back from work.

But now, when I wake up and look at myself in the mirror, I just see this person with neat, short hair, no facial hair, wearing neat clothes I am forced to wear, as another day of work begins for me.

I find myself not having as much time to spend on my personal activities, and instead, I spend those precious hours on helping others, and it has taken its toll. Im about getting sick of it.

I still have no gf

Quit your job if it's hurting your soul. I did last week and the last 2 days off have been highly mediocre.

 

Yeah, I almost felt that way when I worked at Target. They didn't care about my hair, but having to wear that annoying polo and pants was annoying. Though being a cart attendant they let me wear shorts again. I just can't stand "good looking" clothes, I feel most relaxed in t-shirts and shorts. Those formal nights on the cruise back in January were the worst for me

 

I would, but having a job gives you moneys, and Im getting paid well...

I knew a guy who quit his job (which paid real good), and the hit-back was pretty big on him. I think Im gonna bear my job till I find something else where I don´t have to look good.

I feel like Im in high school.

I hate dressing for work too. You're not alone.

 

If anything, you can look for other stuff until you find something else. I think the only issues is feeling too comfortable from a job you may dislike but still have benefits.

I tend to struggle with that right now. It's been an emotional roller coaster from wanting to get a new job so badly and being comfortable at my job now.

 

I read no facial hair and I almost cried for you. I'm at the same point tbh, I work, come home, and go to sleep. It's life man, welcome to adulthood.

I know your feels, Sabs. I think it´s all about timing, and meeting new people. This job I have wasn´t the first...my first job was such a ****** mess. I felt depressed for months.

But as time moves on, you start finding opportunities, I guess.

And my facial hair grows fast. I shave in the morning, then I come home and the hair is already growing back. And damn do I look good with facial hair, but no. My boss is all "hec lol shave"

I hate coming home and sleeping. I spend like an hour watching a show, cause idk, I guess it relieves some stress.

I'm personally looking for a second job, because my main job gives me too much free time. You get a lot of freedom when you work two weeks on - four weeks off, but when you don't have plans it gets boring fast.

 

It's almost as though the members of this site are subject to aging and have matured past the point of high school whims that we were in the throes of when we signed up for this site and have moved slowly into adulthood.

But that would be absurd.
