    Okay, since you asked, I will inform you what X-mas means.

    X is a latin letter that the early Christians(or was it Latin? I don't remember.) used to mean 'Christ'.

    So when people say Merry X-mas, it's essentially the same as saying Merry Christmas.

    And now you know...the rest of the story.
