I Guess It's About Time..

I might have mentioned this in another post of mine, but I can't remember. But I finally experienced it.

I've finally been ripped from.

I guess this just tells me to my face that my art is finally good enough to be ripped from, but I still doubt it myself. I mean, just look at my DA page.

Does that look rip-worthy? Not really. But someone out there deemed that it was, so I guess that's kinda good. Means I'm finally getting somewhere.

The person who ripped me was nice enough to take it back down, then she asked me if it was okay to post it as her desktop screenshot. Which was fine by me, because she gave me credit and linked the picture back to me.

So now I've had to put those watermarks on my art (like the one on that Burnt Axel pic) to prevent it from happening again, but there's a part of me that kind liked it. I didn't think I was good enough.

Yeah, I think I'd enjoy that too. I remember there was this person that was all like "i'm misty from khv" on some forum, and though I was a bit pissed at them I took it as a compliment.

 

Now that hasn't happened to me yet, but I remember being miffed when making my AIM name and learned that 'Nashida' was taken...that's like, MY name. Can't run around with that...

 

Well, Nashida is a fairly common Japanese surname and very common Muslim femmy first name, so I wouldn't be all that suprised that someone took it. ;3

Um, could I see the actual picture that was ripped? You just linked you DA page. And this is kind of irrelevant, but you should consider getting a program like Painter or OpenCanvas [OC is free] to color your drawings. Photoshop isn't that great for CGing. [My avatar was colored in Corel Painter 9]

 

That Burnt Axel pic there was the one that was ripped. I kept getting flooded with comments for it, and person in question wanted some of the action. Only reason I put the DA page is to just show that all of my art isn't worth ripping from.

I do have an older version of Painter that I'll use from time to time, and I might go ahead and get OC. Gotta remember where I found it. It's just I've used Photoshop for 5 years, and I know how to use it best.

 

I just suggest Painter because it tends to make images look much higher in quality. Although I presume you're using a mouse if you use PS...
