I got my hair cut by a male today for the very first time.

Best haircut ever, guy was really focused on his work, women always to blather to you and go on and on about what they're doing, nah man this dude knew what the **** was going on.

Straight razor'd my sideburns and everything, didn't even know people still used them

It used to be standard for men to be barbers. I wonder when the standard changed?

 

The barber I had my whole life before I went off to college was fantastic...


the men barbers at Great Clips..not so much.

I like to get haircuts by girlz, but I had to have a guy and I thought it wasn't that bad. Like you said, the guy didn't blabber off a lot and he knew what he was ****ing doing. And he knew what I wanted.

 

Most women talk too much.

 

I've had better experiences with women.

A barber I had for a while was terrible.

 

That's funny, because once I hit a 19, I stopped going to salons and now I only go to barbers. I always get a better cut, it's faster, and they don't yap as much.

 

It's faster and quieter, but I've never had it better.
Likely just a bad barber, but, still.

 

I've had both and I found that sometimes the guys could talk more than the women. Though, I agree that female hairdressers are the worst. Seriously, I just want my hair cut!

If you go to a barbershop, it's a lot more likely to get a fellow. Salons are different, (not to be stereotypical) but you usually get a lot more women and gay guys, simply because salons also do makeup, styling, etc. Women know women's hair, men know men's hair (and face, as it were).

My mommy cuts my hair because I'm poor. :L

 

My mom cut my hair up until I was 13. Let's just say it wouldn't be in her best interest to open a salon.

Yeah, man, humming while doing a mundane activity is weird as hell.

When he hums while cutting your hair, but doesn't cutting your mom's or other customers, yeah.

 

dude, you totally should've hooked up with him. when else are you gonna get the chance to get laid so easily in the philippines.

My mom is actually quite good, hah. Aside from one or two length mishaps, she's yet to make me look like Chewbacca, so.

But curly hair is rather forgiving.

 

Least you have one of the two extremes, curly or straight, i have wavy hair when it's long and its just a hassle, hence why it gets cut super duper short, hide dem waves.
