id say its you get used to it so it becomes background noise, or it depends on the beat lyrics etc. might be like a heavy metal version of a lullaby or something

i use music to get to sleep because i find it hard to sleep in silence, although my iPod tends to be wrapped around my neck when i wake up :(

Nope, no lullaby there.

Usually I wake up to Metallica. But...11:30 at night and a Full Throttle less than an hour before spells certain sleepy doom for me.

 

I've fallen asleep next to speakers with their volumes at front row level before at a party once.

... I was sleepy...

 

I guess it depends on how tired you are at the time more so than the music that's on.
