Consider this: Maybe you are posting at a normal rate, yet the forum is just having an extremely slow day so not many others are posting, or even visiting for that matter, and you just happen to believe you are posting at a higher velocity and/or quality when in fact you are delivering the same quality and quantity of posts as usual, yet no one else is and thus it makes you seem as if your rates have improved.
