Help I don't want to receive emails when I get an alert

Is it possible to not receive emails when I get an alert?

 

Go into your preferences and contact details. Change the settings accordingly. You can turn off email alerts for conversations and watched threads. You shouldn't be receiving emails for anything else.

By alerts, I think he was referring to alerts like a response being made to a thread he's watching.

These alerts will send you e-mails:

• New thread in a watched forum
• Reply to a watched thread
• New personal conversation
• Reply to a personal conversation

Any other alerts, such as someone liking your post, won't send you e-mails.

What I said still applies. You can turn off email alerts for watched threads through your preferences. If you don't want to receive regular on-site alerts either for the threads you have posted in, you can likewise change your settings, though you'll have to manually unwatch some threads.
