I don't think I really know what entitles something to be considered classical music

But I'm pretty sure the Waltz of the Moon in FFVIII isn't Classical Music quite yet....so how come it's on a video I'm listening to of classical music?

 

Something modern could be considered "classical music" if its roots / inspiration came from "real classical music".

That's like saying metal in 2014 isn't metal because its not the 80's. You can have a classical style despite what year the music was made.

 

Classical is a style, not a measurement of time

 

Hey, don't look at me, I don't remember a thing from my musical theory class. I'm surprised I got a B in the first place. I can't even remember the keys most of the songs I used to play all the time were in, even with how often I played them. And that's just the simple stuff, Music History is where I just lose every bit of knowledge all together.
