I Am Beyond Pissed

So I'm laying there in bed watching today's new episode of House of Anubis on TeenNick. About five minutes ago, there's a power surge for NO reason -- there's no storm or anything -- and I ended up missing like three minutes of the show!

Now I have to wait until tomorrow at 5:00 PM when it encores before tomorrow's new episode at 5:30 PM.

Do your ****ing job at the power plant properly, you idiots!

Am I the only one who thought Amaury was 'beyond pissed' because there's actually staff online?

Seriously though, they must've been the 3 most important minutes of your entire life...you couldn't figure out where the show was at after 3 minutes you probably weren't paying that much attention.
Why not try to catch up with it online so you don't have to wait?

 

That show's still going on? I caught the first few episodes with my little sister. I liked it okay, but it didn't seem like the kind of show that would stay on Nickelodeon for too long. Also, main character reminded me of Juicy<3

 

This is actually a very dumb reason to get upset. There are power surges that just happen, and you can do nothing about it. Plus, it's just a show. I'd understand if there was a specific reason you were watching it besides whatever entertainment you may get (you have to review it for some reason, it's for education purposes, etc.) but this just sounds like bratty whining.

 

First world problems~

 

The long, painful wait for those 3 minutes will plague your mind till the next showing tomorrow. We can only hope there will be another power outage and you'll have to wait some more.

Looks like there's back-to-back every morning from 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM, so I can set a timer to record it with my mom's DVR tomorrow.

It's not that I missed it, it's that there was no good reason for the power surge to happen. Late last year, we had a thunderstorm one night if you remember, and there was a power surge. Okay, I understand that. The next day, it was a nice day, but there was a power surge most likely because of a residual effect of the storm. Okay, I understand that sort of, too.

However, there was no storm today. We heard what might have been thunder last night, but that's it. No rain or lightning. Thunder by itself can't cause power surges, and even if it could, when the surge happened about 30 minutes ago, it would be too late for it to happen. When we had the thunderstorm, the residual effect power surge happened in the morning around 10:00 AM.

They don't get it up until the next day, from what I read.

It doesn't show on Nickelodeon anymore. It's on TeenNick now.

 

Which solves the "not knowing what happened" part, but it still messes with the flow of the show. Or not knowing what happened during the rest of the show. I had to record Young Justice, older episodes of Supernatural, and Smallville because I worked when they showed. Sometimes the recording would screw up and I would miss the first couple of minutes, which was usually a special scene with foreshadowing, or the final minutes, and not see the cliffhanger.

Thunder is the sound that follows lightening. Logically you would conclude that if you heard thunder, there might just be lightening to cause the surge.

But it seems like something rather petty to get upset over. You missed three minutes of a television show. Allow me to alert the news media of your plight.
