Yes it was. The two development parties got into a dissagreement and refused to work together. The game was brought down becuase of this. Fortunately Stargate Worlds is partly made by the people who made the actuall show so it shouldnt crash and burn Edit: This isnt on the topic of the game but guess what. Amanda Tapping, Samantha Carter's actor is going to be joining Stargate Atlantis after the final season of Stargate SG-1.
