How Would You Handle Kingdom hearts 2.5?

KH1.5 was pretty significant effort put into it, compared to most HD remakes floating around.
3 hours of new cutscenes, enhanced controls, cutscene skip, final mix content, trophies, PS3 skins, and updated models.
I can't help but feel like if 2.5 is made, they'll might even further than this.
Personally, I'd see KH2 and BBS Final Mix, with updated models, with a Days style movie of either Coded or DDD... maybe both?
And the obvious trophies/themes and such.
But more interestingly, I'd say there should be soem sort of bonus for having (and beating?) both games, a secret movie, or something? Honestly, a playable KH3 prologue in the vein of the BBS Final Mix secret ending would be badass.
Also, BBS should be updated so command styles and D Links stay after pausing.

If we get a little more fanciful here, I'd love to see a proper graphical overhaul like Nintendo has done for Wind Waker HD:


And if we get REALLY fancy, they should redo all the text based scenes with voice acting :3

I'd like to see 2.5 with about the same additions 1.5 had as well as a bit of graphic overhaul like you said. Redone cutscenes for coded would be amazing. Can't really think of anything else for right now except for possible additions within the game.

Are you sure about a KH 2.5? The purpose for KH 1.5 is to enhance the look of the game, and make it more accessible to the newer generation. Most of the games not included in KH 1.5 are already accessible, and their graphics are ok, in my opinion.

Yeah, speaking of ports/remakes, I honestly. wasn't too thrilled with the ocarina of time remake- I expected a remixed soundtrack, but no. However, I don't think Kh needs any music re-doing. In a 2.5 remix I'd like too see FM content and trophy support. Pretty much the same thing they're doing with 1.5 would be cool with me.

 

Ooh! But in an interview, they said they're redoing the music for the Days movie with live instruments!

And yeah, the Ocarina of Time remake was too obsessed with not 'ruining' anything. I wanted a HQ redux of the soundtrack :(

 

Ah I'm not against remixing the KH music- I just feel its modern enough to pass by.

The first oot was for the n64, the release was for the 3ds. A lot more capable hardware. It could've at least been an option - like in persona 2 innocent sin - to use the old or new soundtrack >w<

But on the topic of KH, I'm holding out hope that Days music will sound like this:

 

Drammatica - I don't have that album anymore (I'll have to get it again once I get my computer back =w=). yes, I agree that's how I'm hoping it'll sound - redone, for use on the PS3. (I'm assuming the DS has less sound capabilities than the PS3.)


And, to me, there is no justified excuse for the crap that is the OoT remake. All they basically did was update the graphics, and the menu/item system. Everything else. is pretty much. the same. I'm still disappointed with it.

 

Man I feel honestly that they'd tease us a bit with like something leading to KH3 with 2.5. I mean maybe play as Aqua even longer or Terra or even Ventus to see what's been going on with those 3 as time passed. Better yet before you vs the Final Boss you get a new world from BBS and explore there a bit getting some memories or something. My glob the ideas would be so serious yesh!!!! XD

 

I would like in future games that the cutscenes and the gameplay sticked with the same video quality.. the most important videos in KH series were made in different style of animation much better than when we play (the scene when Sora finds the door to light with riku, that screat ending in KH 1 also)...
If they keapt the same quality in the whole game I would be pleased.. I guess it is a lot of work to do it in KH 2.5, but I sure hope that KH III be like this.
