How would you change kairi?

there seems to be ALOT of hate for kairi, so how would you change her character?
Id make her good with her keyblade.

 

I'd make her a good fighter with a keyblade that doesn't look totally idiotic.

Other than that I like Kairi, so I wouldn't really chance anything else... well, except maybe I'd make her skirt longer :/ It's a little short...

I wouldn't. I'm quite content with her character design.

 

She needs to fight more. Also get a little muscle. She's all bone. And stop making her the one always getting captured.

And I would also make her stop getting captured, its getting kinda ridiculous. I mean mickeys letter(the plot for kh3) will probobly read
"dear sora, kairi gotten kidnapped again go save her"
Sora-"huh shes right beside m.." looks over "oh crap not again"

and to sorrow, calling her a whore just a bit harsh aint it?

 

Well, she definitly needs a more modest outfit. And her voice...ugh, it's way too high! In an interview, Hayden says she was forced to make Kairi's voice "more princess" and "take it up a few octives". Yeah, that doesn't sound too good.

Personality wise, where did Kairi's Keyblade come from? Seriously, so random. There needs to be more reason behind that. Do I mind that Kairi got captured? Surprisingly, no. What I do mind is that she seems so helpless one minute, and the next she gets a Keyblade and takes out two heartless. She needs to stick with one personality, not switching back and forth between opposite behaviors.

 

Give her some role other than the same old "damsel in distress" and I'll be happy, even if it's not something all that drastic. It bothers me how female characters in animes/games are pretty much just the helpless girlfriend that doesn't fight and has to be saved. Some might argue, but I think it would be interesting to see Kairi as a fighter. It might even be an idea for the next KH: Kairi becomes the spellcaster of the team, Riku is the tough one, and Sora is the balanced one. Then there would be other characters with different stats that might provide for a nice team buildup, such as the world specifics, the Birth by Sleep characters (Terra, Aqua and Ven, if they were to appear), the Disney Trio (Mickey, Donald and Goofy) and some others (maybe even Roxas, if they bring him back). If you wanted a party purely of spellcasters, for example, you could choose Kairi/Aqua/Donald as your party. Probably not much of a good idea, but still...

 

I think her outfits okay, except for all the zippers, i mean really? how many damn zippers does one outfit need?!
If the skirt's longer then I think they should just give her a new outfit.

Nomura said that the scene when Kairi gets her Keyblade hints at something. I guess whatever it hints at will be revealed soon.
Why do people complain about Kairi getting captured?
KH1: She didn't get captured, she lost her heart and Riku/Ansem had her body. I guess you could call this capture
CoM: She wasn't even in the damn game herself
KH2: She was captured once. that's it.

Sora was also trying to save Riku in each game, why doesn't anybody hate Riku for being helpless?

 

Make her head smaller and her body larger. Her dimensions don't seem right. And give her more screentime, as the second best friend of Sora's, she deserves that.

 

What does her "School Girl" outfit say to you my friend?

Ummm... I always thought that Riku and Kairi were kinda equal in terms of "best friends." I was under the impression that neither of them were better than the other. Well, sure, Sora and Kairi kinda have a "thing," but in terms of friendship, aren't they all pretty equal? Like, Sora doesn't like Riku more than Kairi and Kairi doesn't like Sora more than Riku. That kind of thing. Is anybody getting this?

 

That'd be great if she got more screentime. The more Kairi gets, the more her character can develop. She doesn't even have to fight, it'd just be good to see her trying to achieve her own goal.

I agree with that and it makes a nice friendship triangle, so it'd be great to see how they'd work as a team, instead of being as split up as they've been. Seeing them on Destiny Islands now'd be nice, to see if they act different around each other since DI in KH1.

 

She can fight, but not like Sora, Riku or Goofy. I mean, she knew how to hold off those Shadows for like 5 minutes in the World That Never Was, didn't she :D

Oh, and I never hear anyone complaining about Naminé's skirt. It's just as high as Kairi's. Not that I'm complaining :luv: Can someone explain me that?

But I don't think I would change her if I could. If I had, I would just give her a bigger role in the game...

 

I hate a lot about Kairi but the thing I really hate is her fricking laugh. It is so annoying and really ugly.

 

You remember that scene in the first Kingdom Hearts, in the very beginning where she says she wants to take the raft with just Sora and go? She quickly said she was just kidding, but obviously it wasn't a joke. From that moment on I really got the feeling she didn't like Riku, or maybe even feared him.
