I was just thinking, this is supposed to be the next game after 3D, and there's a lot to do in this game. As long as Nomura doesn't rush anything, which he hasn't done so far, so I don't expect it, I'm betting this game is going to include a heck of a lot of content. There's helping Aqua from the Realm of Darkness, going to C.O. to get Ventus, getting Terra, and whatever else, as well as going through the worlds for whatever reason trying to get the 7 lights together, and what Riku and Mickey are doing as well.

It just seems like with all of the stuff that's planned for this game, it'll be quite a bit of content. I'm hoping for a game at least 30 hours long or so, but that's just me. Although, KHII I could beat in about 20, and that included some grinding.

Probably the standard 20is hours for normal gameplay
and infinity plus one if you include journal completion

Since this is a console game and the final game for the Xehanort saga, the game might be 20-30 tops. And like what hatok said, it will take FOREVER with 100% Journal Completion.

    My predictions:
    Main story- around 25 hours
Extra story (side quests that add to story and optional worlds)- around 5 to 10 hours
Extra worlds/areas with no story to add (kind of like Cavern of Rememberance)- 2 to 4 hours

I'm going to assume that this operates under the assumption that you ace everything on your first try, ratehr than failing over and over to juggle the jushroom 100 times... I mena what

Hahahaha, you actually tried that? I never complete the journal, just because of exactly that, the thousands of hours that would be put into it. I just played through, tried some stuff differently here and there on the files, and got the secret ending by playing on Expert. Which usually took me about 18-19 hours because even though I was grinding I already knew everything about the game outright from playing it twice before (I go from easy to hard so I have knowledge on what to do for hard. I'm not that hardcore like most people).

Pretty much. I'm going by the length of it (what it would take if you do everything correctly with little to no troubles) rather than the time for any person as that will vary.

Only 20 hours? i cant even imagine it being that quick. if you watch all the cutscenes ( and lets be honest, theres gonna be ALOT of them) im sure theres gonna be a good 35+ hours of gameplay time. without excessive grinding and synthesis and such items or sidequests. im guessing 35-40 just on the main story. Its gonna be too epic to just be a 20 hour game.

I don't know how accurate this is, but I too want a game a little longer than previous ones. I'm not a fan of obnoxiously long games (I gave up on FFXII about halfway through), but if there was ever a game in the KH universe that warranted a longer story, this is the one.
