Kingdom Hearts II How can you defeat sephiroth in KH 2?

How can you defeat Sepiroth in Kh II? He sometimes kills me or almost kills me with one blow!
... ... ... or in which lvl can you beat sephiroth, without being lvl 99...(kind of lazy to do research)

I dunno if you guys know it, but where can you download a cutscene of Cloud and Sephiroth fighting each other in KH 2? I can't find any source of where you could download it!

I can barely remember how I beat Sephiroth, but I do know I was on level 99 and I was just smashing buttons X and Square. Used lots of Elixirs. Spamming Reflega probably helps but I didn't use it.

Anyways back on the off-topic thing from me, it didn't work, it keeps saying error, but I'll try it on another PC we have later. Anyways again, I'll try and lvl a bit with sora, since its... ehm... lvl 43 :P

 

... Hmm... See if you can get up to level 50 at least. Anything above 60 is overkill.And max out your growth abilities. With those, Once More, Second Chance, Reflect, Curaga, Retaliating Slash and maybe Guard, you can win. Make sure you spam Reflect when he's using his uber-cheap fire Vacuum thing. In fact, spam it with most of his magic attacks. :P

 

That Vixy site is a bit dodgy I'll admit, but it does work every now and then. Just gotta be a bit lucky.

If you want though, there's a more sure way of doing it, but it's a kinda long:

To download the Youtube Video, you can simply enter it's URL in some sites made specially for this. Like this one.

The Youtube Video file you'll download will be a .FLV format. I'm not certain, but I don't think you can use this type of video format to make AMVs. So you're gonna have to convert it. For that, simply go to this site and have it converted to your desired video format.

Another more simplier way of doing this is by downloading the program Moyea FLV Downloader - it's free. With it, you can download .FLVs, but you can also immediately convert them to your desired video format.

I'll try that, when I need it, since I've put other cutscenes in my AMV to finish it. It's now online at youtube, you can see it in my new AMV thread, named Ferio Tigerblades AMV thread in the creative corner.

And I'll try to lvl at lvl 50 or 60 at least, like you said... ehm... I can't read those characters on your name... sorry. Anyways, I'll try to do what you just typed in for me. Same goes for the FLV thingy GIIIIIIIRLZ ment, but then in a later moment (like I actually just said).

 

Being at least lvl 60 is a must. And, depending on how you prefer to cure, stock all of your inventory with ethers/potions. There is a system that gets going once you realize it. There is an extremely low chance of you beating him the first time, so don't expect it. It took me quite a few tries until I killed him.

He has 15 HP bars. Yep, that's right. But don't fear! Once you get going, the bars just go down and down. What you have to know is that he has some really strong attacks that can kill you in a heartbeat. So you might want "second-chance" or something like that that allows you 1 HP left just in case. IT HELPS A LOT. That way you can quickly cure yourself and move on. The triangle will be mashed a lot.

Also, work on leveling up your Drive Forms before trying to defeat him. I'd suggest having high jump (from leveling up Valor) and Glide (from leveling up Final) at least. And if you're really patient, level up your Final form to the max and see how fast/long you can glide. :D

Use your keyblade with the highest strength (Ex: Oblivion, Ultima Weapon) in this battle because strength is a highly important key to winning.

However, the most important part is strategy. By this I mean you own strategy that you develop when attempting to defeat him. Keep re-fighting him over and over until you find a sort of repetitive strategy that you can easily follow. It may get frustrating, but that's what makes it all worthwhile when you finally beat that sucker and get your BEASTY Fenrir keyblade!

A lot of people allready covered fighting styles this is just the two cents i want to throw in. this will probably the time in this game where you will most like to use elixers and they really help but only use them when your health is low and your magic is out. *cough* heartless angel *cough* Generally though you want to play defensive and go in for the kill when get the chance. Many people like creating an opening with trinity limit aka limit break, just remember that you need to keep yourself alive while you're out of MP and you can only have so many items.

 

Sephiroth bausing trouble?

Just spam Trinity Limit and Reflega. Have Elixirs waiting to be used. Of course, that's if you want to be cheap about it.

But in case you don't want to watch it (for who knows what reason)...

 

ultima weapon so you can use cure in quick succesion when needed (unless you use items...)

 

1)Get the Ultima cuz it helps alot!
2)Block his attacks cuz they are pretty predictible
3)use cure and trinity alot!
4)Use Elixers after he drains your life or just hit him when he glows pink and floats up
5)PAY ATTENTION! if the triangle appears hurry up and push it
6)And finally use reflega alot! if u do then his life goes down super fast

Yeah when I fight him I only get 4 healing thngs and then I'm screwed! I hate it! I can get him down to about half life, but that's as far as I can go... Man that heartless angel is a killer! I'll try this stuff, but I bet just because It's me it still won't work:P

 

I beat sephy lvl 56 on Proud mode, he's easy if you know his chain of movements, since his actions are like well....scripted and repeated.

 

It's actually not that hard. Just get the Ultima Weapon, get to lv 50, and hace good defence and magic for healing.

 

I beat Sephiroth in level 75. I wanted to be prepared. :/

Anyway, like so many people have said before; just have ultima weapon. As for skills, have any thing that you can link into combos. Especially have that aerial counterattack technique; the one where you press square instead of circle. That counter attack helps when Sephiroth slashes you into the air; because he likes to follow it up with aerial combos.

Have Mp berserk rage or whatever it's called. So that way; when you use your trinity limit; you can keep on attacking him without ever finishing your combos. Uhh...oh! Have Aerial dodge and glide. They will help you towards the end when he starts to use Sin Harvest and Metoer.

Don't forget to have reflectaga as a shortcut magic; when he uses the dark spheres thing. Other than that...just don't forget to use the reaction command when it says soo. XD
