Hello, and welcome to hogwarts school of witch-craft and wizardry; THE ROLE PLAY! It's all the same, apart from we have different people. No-one is Harry, Hermione, Ron, Long-bottom, Malfoy etc. You're all NEW characters. Although, we have different characters, all the teachers are the same.

The houses:
Gryffindor values courage, daring, nerve and chivalry. Its mascot is the lion, and its colours are red and gold.
Hufflepuff, values hard work, loyalty, tolerance, and fair play. The house mascot is the badger, and canary yellow and black are its colours.
Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, wit, and wisdom.
The house mascot is an eagle, the house colours are blue and bronze (changed to blue and silver in the films).
Slytherin house values ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness. The animal representing Slytherin is the serpent, and the house colours are green and silver.

Quidditch:
* Players must not stray over the boundary lines of the pitch, although they may fly as high as desired. The Quaffle must be surrendered to the opposition if any player leaves the boundary. Quidditch matches in the Harry Potter films, however, show players often deliberately flying over the boundary lines and even around the spectator towers. This is possibly because these are just school matches and thus aren't as strict regarding the rules.
* Time out may be called at any time by a team Captain. It may be extended to two hours if a game has already lasted for more than twelve hours. Failure to return to the pitch afterward disqualifies the offending team.
* The referee can impose penalties if a foul occurs. A single Chaser from the fouled team takes a penalty shot by flying from the central circle towards the scoring area. The opposing team's Keeper may attempt to block this shot, but no other player may interfere.
* Contact is allowed, but a player may not grasp another's broomstick or any part of his or her body. (Draco Malfoy breaks this rule in Prisoner of Azkaban by grabbing Harry's broomtail to stop him from seizing the Snitch.)
* No substitution of a player is allowed, even if one is too badly hurt to continue (rare exceptions may be made when the game continues for a great length of time, and players become too fatigued to continue).
* Players may take their wands onto the pitch, but they must not be used on or against any players, any players' broomsticks, the referee, any of the four balls, or the spectators. (The right to carry wands at all times was granted during the height of wizard and witch persecution by Muggles, according to Quidditch Through the Ages).

Postitions of quidditch:
In quidditch there are:
3 Chasers
2 Beaters
1 Keeper
1 Seeker
1 Team captain

The Chasers progress up and down the pitch passing the Quaffle by hand amongst themselves, in an attempt to score goals by throwing it through one of their opponent's three goal hoops. In this respect, the game is similar to rugby, or, as Harry suggests in the first book, "basketball on broomsticks with six hoops".

The Keeper is charged with protecting the three goal hoops, in much the same way as a goalkeeper in football.

The Beaters are armed with wooden clubs that are similar to, but shorter than, baseball bats. They are tasked with protecting their teammates from the Bludgers by knocking these balls off course or towards opponents.

Finally, the Seeker, usually the lightest member of the team and equipped with the fastest broom, is charged with searching the pitch for, chasing down and eventually capturing, the elusive Golden Snitch. Seekers are the only players permitted to touch the Snitch.

History: Strict parents who forced him to come, his parents like to push him for his own good, and are genrally nice people. He also has a large ammount of brothers and sisters, his twin brother Connor, 8 year old Jack, 5 year old Amy, 15 year old Matthew, and 16 year old Ruby.

History: He is Zack's cousin, he is Zack's evil uncles kid, who grew up with Zack, and ever since they met, they immediately hated each other. His Dad is extremely nice to him, and he is spoiled.

Just dropped out of Divination, since she always felt like she didn't even want to know her future. Struggles a bit in Defense Against Dark Arts.

History: Comes from an old wizard-family, lives with her parents and her four younger siblings (none in Hogwarts yet) during the summers.

Appearence: has silver shaggy hair and gold eyes he never wears his uniform cause he does not like it. He wears black fadded jeans and a grey shirt and a white unzipped jacket over it.
History: At an early age he was good at making tea cups turn into rats after he found an magic book up in the attic.Kitsune was going to american normal high school but his parents decided to move to England. he had B's on his assignments and all that. But unfortainatly he was trying to use a spell in school to get answers on a test without being noticed well it did not work making the apple on the teachers desk turn into a cobra. His parents does not have any magical power surprissingly Kitsune does that is why when he turn 11 his parents got the letter and went to hogwarts to talk to Dumbledor about letting Kitsune go to school there. Kitsune said no cause he wanted an normal life but his parents told him if he got caught doin magic in school he would be sent to Hogwarts as soon as possible. Well when his parents learned what happend at school they told him to pack his bags cause he was going to Hogwarts.
Pet: Fennic Fox (a small fox with big ears normally found in the desert)
Wand: animalism transformation wand
this wand helps with tranformation magic greatly its best used when its used on the wielder to turn into an animal. The is a rare one it is said there was only two ever made.the wand is made out of an enchanted tree and at the end of the wand there is an fox tail that he put on himself to help with his fox tranformation spell so he could easily sneak out during the night.

Personality: A shy girl who struggles to keep up with her family and friends. She's always been the last in everything so she decided to be the first one in her family to get to the Quidditch team.

Personality: A quiet and a serious guy. He takes everything seriously and doesn't joke around at all. He comes from a pretty wealthy family and is used to having thing go his way. But he is definitely not spoiled. He knows how to take care of his self and he never brags about how rich he is like Draco Malfoy.

History: When Roy was a child, if he misbehaved he was always punished. Roy actually used to be a really cheery and happy child but his father didn't like that. He used to always punish him if he had acted too 'cheery' or just broken a rule or something. Sometimes he made his servants beat him up and throw him in a dungeon for some days without food. Sometimes it could of been something worse. Even though both of Roy's parents where wizards he was forced to go to muggle school before he went to Hogwarts. He was bullied there and got beaten up too. Once he told about it for his father and he got punished for being weak. The last time he used to hurt him was the worst time. Once when his father was very angry at Roy he pulled out his wand and said; "Crucio" When Roy's mother heard about this they got into a huge fight. Roy's mother loved Roy and was always there for him when he had been hurt of bullied in school. When Roy's mother got into a car accident Roy started to hate his father 'cause he was certain that his father had caused this. After his mother made it she and Roy moved away from Roy's father and left him live alone in his mansion. When Roy started Hogwarts his mother had to move back to the mansion with her husband because there had such a small amount of money anymore. The next summer Roy had to stay in the mansion but he hardly even saw his father. Roy's father was crazy and when Roy was in second grade of Hogwarts he got an owl telling him his father was sent to Azkaban.

History: He was born with a twin but the twin died when he was 10. He never had any friends except the twin and keeps far away from everyone, not making friends.

Zack arrived at London station, with his two wizard parents, who were previously attending hogwarts, in Gryffindor house. They arrived at platform 9 3/4, and loaded Zack's things onto the train.
"Bye Zack honey! We'll miss you, come back at holidays!"
Her mom pleaded
"Bye Zack, remember what I taught you on quidditch, you could make the team just like me!"
"Bye Mom, bye Dad, I love you!"
Zack said, now arriving on the train and sitting down on a 4 seater chair alone.

Personality: Cadea, or Dee as she's usually called, is a bright and cheerful girl with a playful nature. At least normally anyway.
Appearance:
History: Dee's family is a small one, consisting only of her and her father. A man who drinks heavily, has violent tendencies and hates all Gryfindors since he himself was a Slytherin during his Hogwart's Days. So her childhood was never easy, and now due to her nature it's only going to get worse for the poor girl.
Pet: A very old white cat named "Whisper"
Other: She tends to try and shy away from any real communication from people for various reasons. Which causes a great deal of confusion for classmates due to her friendly nature during classes.

"Yeah, sure."
Zack said, moving up to the window.
"It's my first year here, how 'bout you?"
He asked.

 

Whilst Skye and Zack were sat inside the train compartments talking between themselves another first year was standing on the damp platform amongst the billowing steam from the scarlet engine. She was a young girl who seemed small for her age, her short hair pulled into pigtails. Next to her was a large, white cat and in front of her a tall man with greasy black hair. One could only assume that this man was her father.
"Now, you're going to be in Slytherin aren't you girl?" He asked in a soft yet cruel tone.
"Yes father..." She replied with the tiniest of stutters.
"You better be child. Or you're not welcome in my home anymore." He snarled. "Now get on the train, I'll see you over Christmas I expect." The man added as he walked behind her towards the exit back into the muggle world, shoving her head towards the train.

Dee was all to happy to oblige this command and quickly picked up her bag and hurried aboard the train, her feline friend following behind.

Once aboard the train she began to look for a place to endure the rest of the journey, be it with people or without.

Zack looked at Edina, who seemed to be looking for a place, since she looked young as well as Zack, he called out,
"Hey, do you want to come and sit down here? We have 2 places left.."
Zack said, shyly.

 

"Oh, thankies!" Dee grinned, bounding into the compartment and sitting down on the same side as the boy who'd just invited her to join them. "My name's Cadea Edana Bloodcape, but you can call me Dee as my real name is a bit of a mouthful. What's your's?" She asked with a bright giggle, sticking her hand out for the boy to shake in a friendly gesture.

 

"Zackery William Chad Marshall. Just call me Zack though."
Zack said, grinning and shaking her hand.

 

Dee grinned and let go of his hand. "So then Zackery William Chad Marshall, or just Zack, are you a first year too?" She enquired tilting her head with a sweetly inquisitive manner.

 

"Yes, I'm HOPING to be in Gryffindor, just like my parents."

 

For a breif moment Dee's grin faltered.
"I don't really know what house I want to be in." Dee replied, her grin returning, albeit becoming slightly more forced. She thought back to the look in her father's eyes back at the station when he told her of his desire for her to maintain the family tradition of being in Slytherin. And he never kidded around about things, never ever.

 

"All my brothers and sisters are in Gryffindor, the only family member who isn't is my uncle, Dane McRusherg. He was Slytherin, if my parents go away, I have to stay with him."
Zack said, thinking back at the cruel memories.
"Apparently, everyone who gets put in to Slytherin, is evil when they're older..."

"That wouldn't surprise me..." Dee sighed, breaking her normally cheerful façade for a moment. However she quickly caught herself and returned to her usual self. "My whole family has been Slytherin, every single one of them ever. Most of them became Death Eaters too actually. And my Father hates Gryffindors with a passion. But... I don't want to be like them. But then again, I don't want to upset my father." She added quickly, a tiny speck of a fear twinkled in her large chocolate eyes momentarilery. But not quite long enough to be obvious.

 

"What about your Mom??"
Zack asked, hoping it wouldn't be a bad, upsetting answer.

"Oh my Mum left us a long time ago." Dee sighed. "I don't really know the hows and whys and whens and stuff, all I know is she's not around any more and I'm not allowed to talk about her to my father under any circumstance."

 

"Oh, sorry. I hope I can stay over Christmas, my parents'll be away, so I'll have to go with my uncle..."
Zack said, as he shuddered.

BIC: Maria smiled at her father's familiar words, as she held the cellphone to her ear.
"Yes dad, I'll be sure to write you the minute I get in to my bedroom." A short pause ensued. "Yes, I know I'm your little girl, and that you don't want me to be injured in Quidditch (I hate to spell this word, I always forget how you write it >.<) again." She winced at the memory. Falling from 20 feet wasn't fun, especially since she had to spend over a week in the Hospital wing.
"Mom sends her love. Okay, not really, she just told me to say hi... I love you too dad, but I really have to go, the train is about to leave and the cellphone will stop working any minute. Bye, I miss you already!"
With a sigh she ended the call, and turned off her phone.
"Won't be needing that for a while."
Maria walked through the train, checking that everything was under control (and breaking up a fight between two Gryffindor second-years and three Slytherin third-years), as she scanned for a place to sit. It appeared that the train was packed, as there was no seats in the compartment her friends had reserved, or in nearly every other compartment. After telling her friends that it didn't matter, and that she didn't want to sit in Derek's lap, she wished them a good trip and said that they could catch up during the feast. Finally she arrived at a compartment with one seat free, sporting a fellow Ravenclaw a year higher than her, and two small kid's without House badges, marking them as first-years.
She smiled sweetly, hoping that her usual charm would cover up her self-awareness of the different accent she spoke.
"Hey, the entire train is full, so would you mind if I sat here?"

 

"You don't need to apologise, I don't even know what the woman looks like." Dee grinned. "I want to stay for the whole year, I don't really know if I'll get away with it though." She sighed.

Then as the tall dark-haired girl, who was quite obviously a few years her and Zack's senior, she looked over and smiled brightly. "I don't see why not, there's enough room after all."

 

Sighing with relief, Maria flopped on to the empty seat.
"Thanks a lot, I went through the entire train before I found a free place. And my feet are killing me..."
She gave the passengers of the compartment a better look.
"Oh, you're Sky, aren't you? You're a year higher than me, if I recall correctly."
She smiled again at the younger two.
"I'm Maria by the way, if you have any worries about attending Hogwarts you can ask me for advice, no matter what your worry, or House for that matter, is."
