    Has anyone else seen it?

    I know there's already a thread for this, but that hasn't been posted in since 06.

    I've been meaning to watch it, I really like Obata's work.

    However... I haven't actually. Is it any good? Worth my time?

    Even though it's about go, it's not like Yu-Gi-Oh! Now games determine the fate of the world. It's more about character growth. If you like having character growth in your anime, you should watch it.

    It gets better around volume 7, when Hikaru starts to take the pro test.

    Something tells me this one isnt gonna make it in the world of anime xD

    Hmm... Character development is good, but not if t goes on forever and ever... like Naruto -cough-

    Any idea how many episodes? I'm not particularly into long animes (with the exception of InuYasha...)

    I used to read it when I got Shonen Jump in the mail, and I watched several episodes, then I just lost interest.

    Keep in mind that this is the anime section, not the manga section. :3

    The idea of Japanese chess never interested me. Which is why I skip over it when I get Shonen Jump, and if I ever came across it on TV, I was like, "Meh...chess + English dub?" and went to something else. >_>

    It has something to do with a ghost training a kid to be a great player, right?

    Watched a little of it in China. Never really understood it...seen some of it around places here and there....but....I don't know...it seems like one of those boring anime about sports of some type. never really understood how to play Go anyway.

    I've seen 9 episodes of this anime, I think. It's a good anime from what I could tell. I still have to finish it though. >.>;

    I started watching it but for some reason I just stopped. I think it was because it got a little boring but...meh.
    I might watch the rest of it some other time, I don't know...

    It was an okay anime. Kinda uneventful, but still better than YuGiOh. They didn't settle fights with Go, they just did it for sport. Like Prince ot Tennis.

    I learned the basics online. Like chess but you use multiple pieces to capture enemy pieces. I forgot it, it's been a while.
