Here's something interesting...

Well, most of us know that Nomura said that KH3 will be the last KH game, in the Xehanort saga.
But will it?
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix is coming out, this year, and it features THREE games; KH1(FM), COM and Days.
In the credits of this game, it is shown on youtube that there are a few cutscenes of KH2, Birth By Sleep and Re:Coded. This is what makes me wonder.
Each of the two remixes feature THREE KH games, in the Xehanort saga.
So, let's see... which games do we have left, if KH3 will be the next KH coming out?
That's right! Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts 3.
'But, wait a second, BeatleManiac, isn't that only TWO games?'
Yes, indeed it is, my friend, which means we have stumbled upon a mystery.
It wouldn't make sense if KH HD 3.5 Remix comes out, and has just two games, to it, yet the other two have three.
So this leaves us with a few options:
1) KH3 WON'T be the last game in the Xehanort saga(unlikely)
2) There will be a game coming out before KH3(unlikely)
3) Enix will include the original Coded or Chain of memories, into the third remix(unlikely)
4) The third remix will only include two games(unlikely, as the other two will have three)
5) There might be a filler game, before or after KH3(quite unlikely)

Considering all of your options are unlikely, and the fact that LH3 is in HD, I'd have to agree with hatok.

 

Well first off, if there WAS a 3.5 you realize it would have to be a while right?
BBS and Coded came in 2009. The 2.5 ReMIX is most likely coming in 2014.
So you're looking at 3.5 coming sometime around 2020 or so when we have even more powerful HD than we have currently.
It's more likely for a complete HD collection of the entire Xehanort saga to happen rather than waiting more years for an HD bundle of KH3 and KH3D.

 

Yep, I agree with everyone... maybe KH 3D will be included in KH 2.5, so there would be 4 games in the second Remix :P

 

Lol, no. If DDD were to be in an x.5 HD remix, it would be in 2.5(still HIGHLY unlikely). And KH3 has NO reason to be in an HD remix considering it will be in AT LEAST 1080p. Lol. So yeah.

 

Pffff. By the time it's considered we'll have 2160p.

 

I just doubt that Dream Drop Distance will have an HD Remix, for some reason. 2.5 having playable Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts II is already a monster of a title. KH3D is important but I think it's better suited to a "this is what you missed" in KH3.

 

Ermm... we're already up to 4k :P

 

Ditto... they may make a Final Mix version over it, but because this is a next gen title there is no need to make the whole game again, just make a DLC and be over with it.

 

mmmm... i think kh3D would be playable, and BBS will be a film like kingdom hearts 358-2 days is in in the HD remix... it will not be a Kingdom Hearts HD 3.5 XD i suppose that kingdom hearts HD REMIX 2.5 will be with KINGDOM HEARTS II , BBS and dream drop distance... about re:coded i think it will not be considered 'cause is not a part of the story but just another story !! i think that because Nomura says that games with sora,donald and goofy as main characters are part of the main story of xehanort!! and the remix is just a HD version of the main stories for the gamers that have ended to play the game , and like a preparation for KH3 :D

 

I can see DDD playable on the consoles as a digital download only. Even though DDD is very important to the storyline, it is still too recent for it to be included in HD 2.5 REMIX.

 

This, especially considering that if the KHFM and Re:COM are any indicator, 2.5 will probably have both KH2FM and BBSFM.
