Here's one reason why I'm going to enjoy being gone for a year

    Begin Rant

I won't have to listen to my mother and her outdated, not too mention pointless, lectures. Seriously, she just called me down to empty the dishwasher, and she just goes off on a lecture whining about how I've done nothing for 3 months since we've moved here. That may be true, but considering we knew I was going to leave in 3 months, what did she expect me to do? Then she goes off on how I'm going to be 19 when I get back(no duh genius), and how I won't have a job and I'll need to get money for college. She also goes off saying stuff like "you should be looking for a job and saving up for a car" etc. I really wanted to say so many things, including the fact that how dumb can she be, considering that since before the beginning of the year I've been trying to get into volunteering? Not too mention, we moved here with only 3 months till I leave, and she expects me to seriously look for a job? Say I did get one, how long would I have it? Not very long, considering I'll be leaving for a year. Next she goes on about how when I get back I won't be able to be as "lazy"(she used it in a pretty annoying tone), and I can't just get out of volunteering by not doing anything. I've known for a long time that I won't be able to do as much as I do now when I get back, and most certainly when I leave. I'm not going to go volunteer only to do absolutely nothing. What would be the point in that? All of these points are invalid, considering I've known for quite a long time that I'll be doing less than what I do now, and all that crap, and yet she thinks she can seriously lecture me about it? I swear, there are so many times I want to just yell at her and slap her across the face for every time she did it to me as a kid; which would be a lot by the way.

Did I also mention that she only started this because she was having problems doing math with my brother? She has a seriously bad habit of yelling at both of us when she gets angry even a little, and comes up with the dumbest excuses in the world to yell. And she gets angry a lot when doing math with my brother, since he refuses to do anything about it.

    Rant over
So, how is you day going? It's only 9:43 AM and my mom has already annoyed the crap out of me. That's probably a new record for her.

I'd say something wise and TL;DR, but it's the spam zone, so I'mma keep it short, yeah...

One, parents always think they're right; they don't always see their fault.
Two, my day has been aryt... My vacation's almost over but I don't know what to do anymore. So I'm kinda derping on Facebook.
Three, my mom annoys the hell outta me too, but I'm not much in a position to get angry as you are. Hope that year break doesn't fly by too fast, though.

I feel you. I mean, I've never had my mom chew on me about jobs, but she easily gets mad at the tiniest things. Not all the time, but does.

Don't know what to say. Three months eh. Well you coulda still have a job to get some dough at least. You need dough.

    I love your pleasantries.

Aqua, you should ask yourself a couple of questions. Why are you posting about this here? What do you seek to gain from it?

Is it affirmation; people sympathizing with your plight? If so, doesn't that border on burdening others for no reason?

Is it attention, positive or negative?

Why do you choose to rant to everyone here? What do you want to happen as a result?

    My day just started, sigh...

    lol

    That's my sister right there.

I think he posted here to let some air out. He probably had been in a little fight with his mom before posting this thread.

    That...so mean....*sniff*

Must mean my parents fail at basically everything with me, because I seriously could not care less. If I were to care less, this would would become grey and solemn

Not so much of a fight as a one-sided yell. But still, I do manage to keep quite a bit under the lid, because I really don't have the energy to waste on her, and me being the laid-back type really makes it hard for me to even care any more. I just keep quite and wonder why she even bothers repeating herself. And she says I'm whinny, hahahaha *coughhypocritecough*

You're not getting the picture. Basically it's saying parents should hit their children.

oh, then they've succeeded to the point they should get a fricken' medal. I swear, my mom hit me so much when I was just around 5-7 years old that I flinch any time something comes toward my face. If it comes within even a yard of me and comes towards my head I just flinch without a second thought. Was one of the biggest reasons I failed so badly at baseball the second year I did it that I should never be allowed to hold a bat again.

A yard!? How do you cross the street with passing cars without curling into a ball and giving up?

I don't, I wait till the light is green. Or when it's just stop-signs, like it was at the college, I waited till there was no one coming, or if there was, I knew they were far enough way to not care. There were some people that went ridiculously fast on a college area, but I managed to cross with only a little freak. But I don't think you would freak, even just a goosebump, when someone comes at you at like 50 mph and doesn't slow down, even when there's a stop-sign that clearly says to STOP and let pedestrians pass first
