You found that boss hard?, all In did was fly behind it as close range, that was the easiest boss in the entire game In my opinion. I recall my tactic made it so I didn't use one single cure or item in that battle in Hard mode.

Sky Ruler can be very hit-or-miss; either you naturally do everything you need to beat him, or you're totally stumped. I found it tough to get a lot of hits in on him on my first few tries.

Here's the gist: Magic is next-to-useless, because it can't hit him while he's moving and it really doesn't do much damage anyway. (At least, Fire magic is; I tended to not use anything else. You can experiment if you want.) So stock up on Cures in your magic slots. Get a Keyblade panel that has a really short air combo, preferably two hits. Some Ethers/Potions would probably help, too. Not much else you absolutely need, so just try to be high-level and buff your defense.

When it's flying around, lock on to its tail and try to get a ways ahead of its hind end, then give it a couple good hits. Once it starts going ballistic and charging around, alternate ascending and descending as high/low as you can while moving out of the way; just dodging horizontally is probably gonna get you a few bruises. When it starts spewing coins, fly low and sneak underneath it so you can start whaling on it when it stops for a breather.

When it enters its second phase, watch out for the icicles rising from the water. They're really hard to dodge if you're locked on because they usually crop up in your path offscreen, but if you fly in circles a little bit, it should be easier to see them coming. Other than that, just keep up the attack pattern from before, and remember to get the hell outta dodge when it's about to start charging you. Beating the Sky Ruler is pretty much just a matter of learning how it moves and when it attacks, because it can be disorienting if it doesn't just click in your head from the get-go.

    Hope that helps.

    k here we go

stock up on cures/cura. use the chrono gear or Flight gear. When it flies around knock out its tails slowly.when all its tails are gone, ittl shoot you with like a billion coins. hide behind a rock to outmanouver this attack. make sure the rock is near our fine feathered friend, so when he stops pelting the sea with coins [poor atlantica] you can fly up and hit our avian friend on its chest. a jewel to be exact. repeat the second maneuver and you should be done in no time!

could you give us the link because i'm interested. If you've faced the Envy devil type heartless than you might know about this lil trick. When he's just about to fly right at at you then slowly descend mor ascend then when he's coming right at you move up or down faster and he'll miss. And the golden projectiles i'd get on land and have the panel dodge-dflect equipped because it blocks just about anything
