Help..

Help me people, i just broke a promise to an important person to me. I broke a promise to God.

i feel bad and dirty for breaking the promise. Its a bad habit I want to stop, but it was just so hard to resist it, I feel sooooo bad right now. I heard soo many people say its very bad, but others say its good and healthy and god created you to be able to do it. i realize now, right after i did it that it is despicable and terrible. I am so sorry..its not funny how sorry i am.

If you have any ideas to help me please post them here, any similar stories post here.

Please, no mean atheist, this is for Christians only, I have no hatred towards atheist, but i don't think they could help me with this problem.

Well, Im atheist, but I have friends who are Christans and I know what you mean. My best advice to you is to force yourself not to break it. If its something that involves telling people things, then write it down. Journals are good. Reward yourself when you dont tell, even though you were tempted to.

Well Rosey, it doesn't involve telling people anything, its something else...something A LOT of people do...but its something i don't want to do...but i couldn't resist....temptation is everywhere..

 

If you believe you broke a promise to God, then tell him you're sorry and ask for his forgiveness ^^ I myself am not a Christian, but I believe your religion encourages you to do that correct?

I also think that (if I understood what you were implying correctly and I think i did) then you really shouldn't feel bad about that. It's a perfectly normal thing for a lot of people to do, you shouldn't make yourself feel sad. If you really really want to stop then I think you can actually get help ^^ honestly though it's not something that should make you feel ashamed

CTR is right. just pray to god for forgivness. i am christian and my fam never let's me forget it. god will forgive you. jesus died on the cross for our sins. just pray and you'll be oka.

 

Doing it some more might help you forget about it. Try that =D

is the athiest thing really nessisary? (is that how u spell it) i mean even if they arent catholic they might have had similar experiences...and YES i know what an athiest id..... i AM ONE.......
