Kingdom Hearts II Help with Sephiroth

I need help defeating Sephiroth. Im level 74, almost 75 and i have equipped Oblivion. I can defeat six bars, then he glows pink and i lose most of my life, then i should block his attack, and when i try to heal after that i die. Can anyone help me?

 

1. this should be in the help thread...
2. use decisive pumpkin (ground damage better!) or ultima weapon (alot of healing)
3. equips good fire and dark defense items.
4. have reflaga shortcutted for the dark orbs
5. use growths like quick run, high jump, and aerial dodge to evade firaga fall and stop his DHA (1 hp 0 mp move)

first of all that move is called heartless angel and i jump when he is bout to do it and hit him it will stop him and if you have a bunch of megalixirs set them in ur customize menu as X and just use them when you get all ur health tooken away and rite after he uses heartless angel keep pressing triangle hope i helped

 

or elixers, just as effective.. and you can find them off of enemies... costs less when you use them... yeah... just be sure you equip accordingly...

 

Few ways hope to help:

Equip your 6 items with elixers, they help alot
Set your shortcuts like this

O - Cure/Cura/Curaga
Square - Reflect/Reflera/Reflega
Triangle - Elixer
X - Elixer

And set these abilities:

Guard, Upper Slash, Horizontal Slash, Finishing Leap, Retaliating Slash, Slapshot, Dodge Slash, Slide Dash, Guard Break, Explosion, Aerial Sweep, Aerial Spiral, Aerial Finish, Counterguard High Jump LV3, Quick Run LV3, Aerial Dodge LV3, Glide LV3 Scan, Aerial Recovery, Combo Boost, Reaction Boost, Air Combo Boost, Reaction Boost, Finishing Plus, Damage Drive, Drive Boost, Form Boost, Form Boost, Combination Boost, Leaf Bracer, Magic Lock-On, Draw, Jackpot, Lucky Lucky, Fire Boost, Item Boost, MP Rage, MP Rage, MP Haste, Defender, Second Chance, Once More

Some you dont need but most are quite helpful, then just keep whacking him, at the first part when you lunge at him and he goes in the air let him fall again then when he hits the floor and attacks guard then wham X until he comes off the floor then let him land and keep attacking and repeat for four bars, when he makes dark orbs press L1+Square to reflect them and damage him and run from the fire pillar

when he throws meteors just run and jump away from them, when he has 2 bars of health left after getting the pink aura use trinity and youll own him

You shouldn't equip Damage Drive, Drive Boost, Form Boost, or Form Boost because you cannot use drive forms while fighting him.
You shouldn't equip Draw, Jackpot, or Lucky Lucky, because orbs and items are not dropped when you fight him.
Fire Boost and Magic Lock-On are not needed because you shouldn't waste your mp on offensive spells. Use only Reflaga and Curaga.

And you should also level up your forms to max if you haven't already, especially Final Form. They give you useful abilities.

lol, i cant synthesize ultima..i only have 5 ori+'s

 

Even though the recipe says you need 13 Ori +'s, you really only need 7. When you synthesize it, use a Bright Crystal. (or it might be energy crystal... not sure, but one of 'em will let you do that. :sweatdrop: )
Here's how you get the Ori +'s:

1. Clear Atlantica
2. Clear 100 Acre Wood
3. Item Box in The World That Never Was; The Brink Of Despair, by the save point
4. Clear Goddess of Destiny Cup in the UnderWorld Tournament in Olympus Coliseum
5. Item Box in Twilight Town; Sunset Terrace
6. Item Box in Sapce Paranoids; Central Computer Area
7. A Collect List Bonus (obtain all of the materials)

 

My pre-battle strategy:

1. STOCK UP ON ELIXERS OR MEGA-ELIXERS
2. Equip Oblivion (I find that it is best for this fight)
3. Have all forms maxed out
4. Have all form Glide, High Jump and Aerial Dodge on.
5. Make sure you have the Once More and any other ability that leaves you with one hp after a combo
6. *You can have on Beserk Charge on if you want*
7. Have good Fire and Dark resistance armor on
8. Save at the closest save point

During battle:

• Press Triangle when it appears when Sephy does his slash attack
• When he summons the fire pillar, use glide to get away
• When he does Heartless Angel, you have two choices:
• Choice A: Attack him to dissrupt the attack
• Choice B: Wait until he finishes and use an elixer or megaelixer
• When Sephy summons the dark orbs, you can hit them to destroy them.
• Watch out for Meteor. It is a very strong attack. To avoid, just use Glide to got back and forth across the area.
• The best way to use your mp (for other than curing) is to use Trinity Limit. If you have Beserk Charge ability on, you can go into a relentless string of attacks without a finishing move.
• Have fun.
