help with GIMP?

    File -> Save As...
    In the dialog box that pops up, under Name, type:
    filename.png

    The 'filename' part can be whatever you like, obviously. PNGs will work on the web and I personally recommend them, though you can use JPEG, GIF, BMP, etc.
