Hellboy II: The Golden Army

Well, the first one was awesome and the cartoon was a 30-minute disaster, so the 2nd movie better deliver to make up for it.

Well it definently has promise. It's obviously setting a different mood than the previous film going towards a fantasy theme than it's usual gothic setting.

Hopefully this movie will be as good as the first one.

 

I dont know, I liked the first one a ton but this one does not seem like it will be that good. I saw the trailer like a week or so ago and it didnt seem that interesting.

 

I saw it and loved it.

The creatures look amazing like they came right out of Pan's Labrynth

It's got plenty of action and humor, I'd say it's the second best movie of the summer behind Dark Knight

 

Totally going to see it, after watching the damned trailer a thousand times and peering over the concept art of the monsters and such.
Really, this movie seems to be one to buy on DVD, rather than watching it in theaters.

Hellboy II was a pretty good movie. I enjoyed it. The effects were great and the elves were interesting. There was a lot in there to get drawn into and strange oddities. There was also a great scene of Abe and Hellboy singing a song no one would expect them to. It was worth the money.

I'm such a big Marvel/DC movie dork, I swear...

Anyway, the toothfaries scared the crap out of me, but the storyline was quite good. Definitely darker than the first, but still had a good amount of humor in it.
Even though there were a lot of monsters, the CG was very well done and did look believeable.

And I will now pray that kitty will never read this, but she was the first thing that popped into my head when the Scottish kitten-eating troll thing first came in. xD

 

i've seen it,loved,will go see it agian.i really liked the story,costumes were really good.lots of good funny moments(espically the end).if you haven't seen,i do recomend it if your big into the fantasy and hellboy comics.

 

Brother said that he thinks it might suck because they might just be making stuff up now but as for the whole trying to make up for the cartoon it must be somewhat good. And the trailer did seem awesome so I'm wanting to see it. Unless someone here saw it and didn't like it...?​

 

Omfg it was totally awesome!!! 8DDD We'd originally gone in to see The Dark Knight, but since -everything- was sold out, we saw this instead, and I don't regret it a bit! Great effects, good humor and a really, really, really awesome story. ^_^-

Best part... Hellboy and Abe singing... I'll never for get that...

Yeah, Abe and Hellboy singing was hilarious. And the tooth faeries were just wow. It makes me realize why you -have- to put a tooth under your pillow. Make sure they are happy! Ron Perlman is also just a great actor and does such a good job playing good guys that are well...ugly. He's just awesome as an actor. I really enjoyed this movie and can't wait for it to come out on DVD.
