Last week my computer crashed due to a vrius. I had to reformmat it and update it. After finally finishing all of the updates I went back to using it like I always do. But when I went to youtube to listen to some music and random videos the sound wasn't work. I thought it might of been the speakers so I tried plugging them in a different place and headphones. Neither worked. My mom found out that the audio codec wasn't installed she she installed it. Everything should be working but it's not. Any help?

Try going to your control panel, then go to "sounds". Make sure that every drive is working properly, (it should tell you). That would be my best suggestion.

You might need a new sound card though.

you need to find your drive of your sound and search the internet and download it worked for me.

if you don't know what drive you got here are the thing to let you know.

    - is your sound is on the motherboard find the motherboard's name and you can find everything about it.

    - is your sound is on a card find the card's name and search it.

    good luck with it.

Try closing the Internet Browser then open it back up. How long have you had no sound?
