Have There Been Any Important Characters Without a Strong Heart?

Talking about how keyblades need a strong hearted wielder has made me think of something.
Is there really any important character in KH who has actually had a weak heart? I mean, maybe some minor characters like the Peddler in Agrabah, but certainly not Aladin, Beast, or any other character like that.
At the very least, some of these characters have strong enough hearts that Organization XIII wants their Nobody, so yeah.

 

I don't really think so. Unless Merlin maybe has a weak heart? He was kinda important.

I see. Welp, can't really think of any very imporant ones with a strong heart then even after looking at a list of characters.

I don't think so. Most if not all the important characters, that aren't Princesses of Heart (since it's a given that they have strong hearts), have either fought against or with the darkness. Those that fought against could hold their own against it, implying that their hearts are strong enough to hold them off. The ones that fight for the darkness have used a lot of dark power, implying strong hearts of darkness. So, I don't think there are any major characters without strong hearts.

 

Is strong heart and a strong will the same thing?

 

Not sure, I think you need a strong heart to have a strong will.

Edit: Thought about it, and I'm wrong. You can have a strong will without a strong heart. If your strong will is about something not so important, like finishing your food for instance. Then it doesn't mean that you have a strong heart.

 

Nope. Strong wills lead to things like Terra and Vanitas' Lingering Wills. A strong heart is a heart that is in some way powerful.

 

In a story like Kingdom Hearts, where characters are meant to discover their inner strength through the light or their friends, it's hard to say that any of the major characters have weak hearts.

The only one I can really think of would be the Riku Replica in Chain of Memories. It's a possibility that Naminé's powers may have untold bounds, and that's why she was able to shatter his heart, but I think it can be argued that Riku Replica's heart was weak because his memories were built on a farce. He does somehow reanimate after that, but I would say it's due to a strong willpower: his remaining memory of his promise to Naminé, jealousy towards the real Riku, and anger at the circumstances of his birth.

Cid Highwind has never actually fought a battle in the KH series and he was important in both KH1 and KH2 so I would say he may have a weak heart.

Well we don't really have any other demonstrably strong hearted individuals to draw on, but what makes you think that fighting = a strong heart?

 

Well if they are fighters it means they must have something to fight for and we all know it is the reason why they fight which can make their heart strong. Like Sora for example he fights to help his friends and save the world for them. That is what makes his heart so strong.

 

Even if we assume that the only way to have a strong heart is to fight for something, that phrase doesn't specifically refer to physical fighting. It essentially refers to a strong conviction.
But I doubt having something to fight for is the only sign of a strong heart anyways
