    Like the title says, have you ever had something that you thought needed a sequel, but didn't get one? The video game Kingdom Hearts almost didn't have a sequel, but the fans saved it. On the contrary, the video game Skygunner however, was released and although the plot called for a sequel, the company never made nor developed it. A fan-based sequel was made, but it's rather cheesy gameplay. How about you guys?

    A prequel was made, but it was never released in Europe.

    Best J-RPG I played this gen, and like Vagrant Story it would be a shame not to expand on this universe yet it probably won' t happen.

    I desperately want a Forbidden Siren 3, especially now that RE and Silent Hill are just a shadow of their former self.

    I know! Lost Odyesy was going to be one of the games that got me a X-box 360, but it never developed. Why is it that the rather good or really unique games that could become series, stay one-hit wonders? You know what I mean?

    It usually comes down to "did the game sell well or not ?" but it' s not a golden rule. A sequel is the best way to divide the fan-base or to screw up an IP beyond repair. As much as I want a sequel to Vagrant Story I only want it if Matsuno/Sakimoto/Yoshida are doing it.

    Lost Odyssey was inspired from a book, like Parasite Eve, so there may be copyright issues. Parasite Eve 2 and 3 weren' t inspired by books and their plot clearly wasn' t nearly as good as the first one. I haven' t played it myself but a lot of people say that 3rd Birthday sent the series down the gutter. Maybe leaving some games untouched is for the best after all ...

    TWENY prequel? Yes! And the others! But yeah, I see your point. Lost Odyesy looked very good, though.
