Kingdom Hearts Halp plez

In the first kh when your in the end of the world, world there is this stupid gargoyle thing. So my question is how do I beat it?

 

Ah Chernabog. Pesky little devil he is.

Remember that it doesn't matter if the battle is long so long as you win.
Note that he uses a ton of fire attacks. At this point you should have Firaga Rings at your disposal, so use them; even if that means sacrificing some offense.
Take your time and read him. He will give you plenty of warning on his stronger attacks when you know what to look for.


What level are you at? You should be nearing level 50 here.
And anything else you can add would help. A particular move you are strugling with, your ability/equipment set up, etc.

 

This isn't by far the fastest solution, but simply let Donald and Goofy pound on him, using triangle to command them, until Sora needs to deliver the final blow.

 

While that would technically work, I would like to emphasize that lead in. It would take a loooong time. It is a nice safety net if he's got you on the run though. Let Donald and Goofy run in and Goofy will use MP Gift sooner or later and that should get you back on your feet.

 

I had this same problem. Flying is a bitch, and it's hard to beat him while flying.

Have Cure/Cura/Curaga as a shortcut, as well as Fire/Fira/Firaga.

Equip your most powerful keyblade.

Also, back away when he does the move where fire engulfs him. And when he sends those little projectiles at you, just fly wildly.




I wish you luck. It took me quite some time to defeat him.

If you try this, make sure you're as far away as possible from him and it should work fine.

Personally the only moves you really need to worry about are the ones how he makes the little orb things and his firey inferno thingy. To avoid the orbs, just fly away from him, flying up and down all the time to avoid them. Should help alot.
As for the firey inferno thing (not the actual name i'm just calling it that for now), small flames will appear around him if i remember correctly and he'll start moving his arms quickly as if he's burning inside. When he does that, fly. Fly like there's no tomorrow. Get as far away from him as you possibly can and wait until it's over. Donald and Goofy will probably be hit in it and be KO'ed as they're crap like that, but yeah so long as you survive you should be fine. Hope this helps you, and best of luck in the battle.

I had a lot of trouble with Chernabog too. Off-hand, I can remember that Aero is basically a life saver in this fight. Also, whenever he leans back or leans forward, he's about to attack--fly away immediately and you should get out of it.

 

Yeah Chernabog is a tough battle.

For what I remember, make sure to use a aero magic on yourself, it'll be great, believe me. Be sure to anticipate his fire attack, when the air around him starts to "bubble", RUN. Don't foget to land next to him to be able to summon Thinker Bell, she'll really save you. Don't forget some hi-potions or mega-potions; but most likely I would save my MP to use curaga (if you haven't Curaga yet, talk to Arieth at Hollow Bastion's Library, three times I think, and she'll give you the Curaga spell).

And be patient, always run before that fire attack of him.
Good luck in defeating him, maybe it is a little hard, but I'm sure you can do it.:)
