Well, Bungie gave a player the recon armour because they thought they deserved it. Digitalph33r won it and people were pissed of that he won and Roosterteeth didn't.

What's your opinion? I really think it's just what Bungie thought was best. I really like Digitalph33r's videos and Roosterteeth's RvB. but Digitalph33r aLL THE WAY!

Oh no question DigitalPh33r over roosterteeth anyday in my opinion. I find his videos much more entertaining that RvB will yes RvB is good I would much rather watch Arby and Chief or even rewatch the two episodes of Its a Wonderful Live they are hilarious. Plus since roosterteeth stopped the RvB I stopped really caring what they have done, cause I don't find the other stuff interesting.

 

DigitalPh33r is way better. His videos are great. I don't even like RvB, to be honest. I actually find it annoying. So, yeah I think Digi deserved it way more than Roosterteeth. Maybe I'm just being bias.

 

I like both Roosterteeth and Digitalph33r.and big deal.Recon armor,is it really worth getting mad about?I say Dig deserved it,Roosterteeth should have it too,but it's Bungie's choice.

 

The fact that Roosterteeth got invited to Bungie's development studio before the game was released, got to play it, then got to have their character voices in Halo 3's campaign as an easter egg, and then got to produce the introduction videos for the Legendary Map Pack for Bungie, I think that makes up for the fact that they didn't get Recon.

 

Jon's videos are just funnier, and more enjoyable to watch.

Digitalph33r is god of machinima, he is not as well known as Rooster teeth, but his recent arby n the chief (the movie) was pure brilliance. He is the better maker of machinima. Now, your story is a bit off though, Digitalph33r actually did get it not in a contest, but literally just got it because his videos were posted all over the place on the Bungie forum, got alot of attention and fame, Bungie gave him Recon for it. Roosterteeth could get Recon if he gave two f*ck's and asks. And the reason I know the contest thing is bull is because Digitalph33r preaches how he got it in his 'it's a wonderful live' videos.

 

i love watching 'it's a wonderful life'vids,that crack me up.and i saw the movie,and it was pure EPIC PWNG.

 

I like Digital Ph33r, I think he's funny, but you can not say that he is better than Rooster Teeth in the quality of production in their videos. Rooster Teeth were doing Machinima when Machinima didn't exist. They invented their own technology and techniques to record scenes within the Halo game, and the quality in which they did it and the voice acting was just top notch. In comparison to that, Digital Ph33r shakes action figures in front of a camera and then uses a voice synthesizer for voice acting

 

Digitalph33r does a good job of what he does though, and you cant sat you could have thought of some of the stuff he came up with.
Digitalph33r's new AmC movie was absolutely AMAZING.

First off, he does real Machinima as well. Have you not seen Deus Ex Machinima or It's a wondeful live? Both are real types of machinima, and he alwyas tries to get a machinima in his AntC vids. Second, he does more than just shake action figures, he thinks about things, spends alot of money, makees fun of things we all hate perfectly, and he does it so well. His AntC Movie was absolutley brilliant. He not only perfectly parodied every crappy machinima, but he parodied what people think will happen with all the praise of putting it on youtube. And not to mention showing himself and trying to kill Chief was just pure hilarious. Ph33r knows what he is doing much more and just becuase Rooster was the original doesn't mean he's the best, in the end it al lcomes down to who is more entertaining.

 

Why is everyone referring to Rooster Teeth as if it were a single guy? Rooster Teeth is the name of their production studio, Rooster Teeth started off as a group of friends when they made Red vs Blue, everyone doing the voices for the characters in RvB is apart of the group known as Rooster Teeth.

 

Digitalph33r is one person, who does a better job than a group of people then. Happy?

 

Funny how DigitalPh33r borrowed the Halo Machinima techniques from Rooster Teeth.

Red vs Blue is the reason the Bungie Team even had the idea for In-Game Recordings, because they wanted every person to be able to make something like a Red vs Blue episode.

And yes, I've watched his other Machinima, and like I said, I like the guy, I find him funny, but the stuff he's doing now is like what Rooster Teeth were doing in 2005.

What I really like about Jon's videos is the way it's being filmed. It's soo well done like I'm not even joking it's so amazing. Even in the movie at the beginning and the shooting and ****. Yeah that was awesome there

Hell, in all of his videos you can hear people breathing into the mic when they speak.

Your kind of right, only thing about Roosterteeth is there still doing the same sh*t they've been doing since 05

 

I wouldn't say that, RoosterTeeth are working on several other Machinema series, one with The Sims called The Strangerhood, another project called "Panic" based on FEAR, they had one using Shadowrun but I think that's over, they invented an entire Halo 3 Multiplayer Game Mode called Grifball based on the character of Red vs Blue, they're working on a more "serious" Halo Machinima called Reconstruction which I linked to a trailer of, they work on a Webcomic together, along with hosting weekly and monthly competitions on Halo 3's online, and last year they did an entire series of commercials for EA's 07 lineup of sports games (NCAA, Nascar, NHL, Madden)

Regardless, this has gone a little off-topic. I think we all pretty much agree that it doesn't matter whether Digitalph33r got Recon, considering Rooster Teeth has a lot of fame anyway, it's not like they need Recon to validate their entire existence.
