I got my hair cut like her's a couple of years ago, and I have thick hair as well. It turned out fine for me. I would recommend straightening it, also that have products to help with almost pretty much everything. When you get it cut, I suggest asking your hair dresser what the best type for your hair would be.

I wouldn't get it cut in the style if you aren't able to straighten your hair everyday.
Because if you get it and can't deal with it,you'll just end up with short hair.
I'd think about it if I were you.

I wouldn't do it if I were a girl. It's pretty lame having your hair like that of a video game character.

How is it weird? There are a lot of people out there who wear hairstyles that look similar to that of a video game character without being aware of it. You could go to a professional hairstylist (local hairdresser), and talk to her/him about this style. (Bring a descriptive picture) Thick hair shouldn't be that much of a problem with the right care. Maybe layers might come in handy...:)

I would suggest having it thinned.
straighten it on a daily basis if you have to, as that tends to keep my hair tamer. I use GHD's.

First of all, you would need a character reference so bring a photo of Kairi with you. The next step would be to get your hair to that color if you don't have it already and then get it slightly layer and thinned out. Perhaps use a straighter especially on the ends.

Thin the hair out, so it becomes more easy to fly around in the wind :)

Then, just straighten it out, and make the ends jagged with a professional hairstylist i guess.

If you want more advice, ask the hairstylist, because i'm a guy. Ergo, I don't really know what to do.

Erm, straightening your hair every day actually damages it D:

I would take a picture in of Kairi, to show the hairdresser what you want your hair cut like. Listen to him/her and they advice they give about how to take care of your hair in that style. Ask for specified hair care products (like the ones for daily heat styling if that’s the way you want it), so your not damaging your hair. Colour your hair if you want to make it suit you more. From personal experience, I asked my hairdresser to cut my hair short for summer last year and I wasn’t specific enough so she made me look like a traditional French girl (shoulder-length hair/ all one length << B( Horrible). Now I'm growing my hair longer again, like it used to be :'D

In the end, it’s up to you and what you want. Just think about it very carefully.

Protip: short hair like Kairi's, ONLY WORKS on skinny people OR people with a thin face. It does not work on people with a chubby face (go ask a hair dresser too if you don't believe me, atleast that's what a few have told me, and it's on the net.)

I don't know what your face looks like, so I wouldn't know, but if you don't have the face/body for a hair cut like that (like me, I'm too chubby to have short hair) then keep your hair long. Long hair has been proven to make you look skinnier (well, atleast your face) and is very flattering. Plus, it doesn't require much styling. Short hair on the other hand like that, needs A LOT of straightening if you want it to look good, and styling (like hair gel, etc.)

And also, even though this opinion shouldn't count but just saying, I think short LAYERED hair is better than Kairi's hair, who is just a straight cut with hardly any layers.
