So this came up after playing an MMO I recently installed. I keep finding people hacking like crazy, and it just takes away the fun from the game. So I figured I'd see what your views are on this as well. Me personally, I hate it with a passion. I mean, if you're going to play an MMO, which is with real people, not computers, I think you should be honest about it. What's the fun in hacking and making your character invincible or whatever? I really don't see why people have to do that. Just a little while ago I was playing S4 League, and this jerk thought that it was a good idea and hack. He ended up killing people when you weren't able to, because that was the type of game we were doing, and I went to a different game, and he ended up hacking there as well, causing every person to die right where they respawn. It was stupid, and it caused a lot of hating. And the worst part was, when the game ended, he actually had the balls to say "Good game guys". What the heck? It's people like him that really make me want to stop playing any kind of MMO, because it keeps us that want to play fairly from being able to do absolutely anything. It's a really big peeve of mine, and it makes me wish I new how to hack just so I could crash those idiot's computers so they would learn a lesson or two from their idiocy.....sorry, a little bit of anger at the end, but I'm good.
_MOVED To the Gaming section. Personally I don't play MMOs, but people that hack any kind of multiplayer to give themselves an unfair advantage are just silly in my opinion. If you're playing solo that's one thing, have all the fun you want--but in multiplayer, you hacking will come at the expense of the other players. That's just a ****** thing to do, imo. If you come across this guy a lot and he's really bad, you may be able to report his account.
I've never been in an MMO that's been hacked. I know like any hacked game it's a total bunch of rubbish. I've played in MW2 games where people are running forward, and all of sudden they're taken down by people who are miles away and instantly head shot you with a throwing knife and whilst still running the same direction. If it involves other people, modding and hacks should only be allowed if all agree on them.
You know, I was actually going to look in the FAQ and other places to see if i could report him, but the page wouldn't load. I would have seen if I could directly from his name, but he kept slipping away before I could get him. It really bugs me that people would do that. There's no reason you can't play fairly. And you know, it's games like S4 League and Bots that i see hacking the most for some reason. Sometimes, very, very rarely I'll see it happen in MMORPGs like Perfect World or Shaiya, but when I do, they usually get caught pretty quickly.
They were alright when they were simple aimbots, but now they're so complex. Read this: http://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield3/comments/t7201/im_a_hacker_and_i_have_some_information_for_the/
honestly, after reading all of that, I only understood maybe about 2/3 of it. I don't understand techie stuff, and it confuses me when people try to explain it. He explains well, but I'm someone who needs hands-on experience to understand something, or have it happen in front of me so I see what happens. But yeah, that's basically the issue with what I'm dealing with on S4 League. In the past 24 hours, I have seen people use hacks for infinite ammo, speed hacks, as well as infinite SP, which means they can fly around as much as they wants and kill us at the respawn point, like I said earlier. It annoys me, and I wish I could do something against it. I've actually checked, and there's no way to report these guys. The best you can do is Boot them from a game, and that's only if enough people agree, which hasn't happened yet.
