I originally found this on dothackers.net, but I didn't want to post it until there was an update on the Beez website regarding the film. If this needs to be moved into another section or merged with another thread, go ahead...I searched, but all of the stuff here relating to TRILOGY is pretty old, and it's not exactly the same as the other .hack animes and such. I'm just not sure where this should go.

Personally, I'm shocked. None of the G.U. games have ever been released in Europe, and the movie is a bit hard to follow without them (I saw it the day after it came out). I'm not sure if it's going to sell well over there.
I'm just hoping for a U.S. release. Normally I'd say this would increase our chances of getting it over here in the States, but then again they could be pulling the same thing like Nomura did with the first Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix -- since we got stuff they didn't, they make up for it by getting something that makes us totally jealous. .___. Even if the movie wasn't as good storyline-wise as the games, I think they did a good job considering they had to squeeze something like twenty-one hours worth of scenes into an eighty-five minute movie. And plus, it looks gorgeous if you ask me.

    Anyway, enough rambling. Thoughts?

I'm excited and worried at the same time.

I'm hoping they don't blow it. It was a kickass game, and if they do badly on it, it'll be cursed forever for eternity in my opinion.

If it's good, I'm going to love the series more.

I'll give you a heads-up, a lot of fans were disappointed by the movie. It focuses mostly on Haseo, Atoli, and Ovan, and well...If you don't like Atoli...You won't like this movie much. XD; They were forced to remove a lot of characters to fit it into an hour and a half, too (Endrance doesn't even appear; Alkaid/Yowkow only makes a small cameo), and condense the story a lot. I thought it was decent, but nothing in comparison to the games in terms of story.
In the North American version of Kingdom Hearts, a lot of the optional bosses, i.e. Sephiroth etc., and I can't remember what else, weren't in the original Japanese version. To compensate, they later made Final Mix for the Japanese audiences who missed out on the extra content we had originally. So much for "North America-Only," eh?
And yeah, I hope it makes it over here too, although I usually prefer watching things subbed...I actually think I liked the American voices for the G.U. games over the Japanese, which is rare for me.

Didn't like Atoli, like Haseo and Ovan, though...

Arc isn't going to be happy about Alkaid. I'll give it a shot and see what it's like.

The focus on the Epitaph Users is practically gone...In fact, speaking of which, Sakubo doesn't make an appearance either. The only Epitaph Users with parts that matter much at all in the movie are Haseo, Atoli, and Ovan. Everyone else has a relatively small part.

I got it on DVD yesterday and the graphics are amazing. Haseo gets a bit too 'angst and violent' for my liking though.
