In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, there are three ways to improve one's a8lities. Firstly, you can level up. No matter how much difficulty you may 8e having, levelling up is sure to help gr8ly. If you're 8elow level 30, you should defin8ly level Aqua, 8ut even if you're a8ove level 30, you could still level, and it'd help.

The next method is to get 8etter commands. You should ALWAYS have a Curaga or two. Against 8raig, Mine Square or Seeker Mine works fairly well, as it 8locks his charges. You can also consider Magic Hour, as it takes ages to complete, and provides temporary semi-invulnera8ility, meaning your other attacks can charge up.

The final way to improve is to genuinely play 8etter. Reflect more. IIRC, everything except his ultim8 attack can 8e reflected. Get the a8ilities that mean reflecting/getting hurt raises the Shotlocker, then Shotlock his head off, healing whenever you get too hurt.

It may 8e worthwhile to train up a 8it 8eyond the suggested level if you're having difficulty. Which mode are you playing on, and what's your deck?

Especially for Aqua, for reason's I won't spoil here.

One thing to keep in mind is esspecially against agile opponents you want to stay away from a lot of the big flashy moves. Magic Hour is a bit of an exception because you move too quickly to be targeted well. But with the "high end" commands they don't have frames of invincibility but they do prevent recoil, therefore once more does not activate. Before I learned this it was the death of me several times.

That being said the exact opposite is true for shot-locks and finishers. Since those do have frames of invincibility it is to your advantage to draw those out.

And there is always the end game staples. Do you have Second Chance, Once More, and Renewal Barrier?
