Yup, beat both Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and The Avengers.

Say what you will about Rockstar and their games, this is kind of amazing to see.

Is this going to cause a birth of a new generation of GTA clones? You know, like how when CoD did really good and developers want to cash in on it thus causing creative sterility in the gaming industry because they want games to "appeal to a wider audience".

GTA has been around forever, so I doubt that this is going to start a fad. Besides, those GTA clones already happened in the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox era.

Playing Grand Theft Auto V might show you that they still are.

CoD still makes more money. There's a lot of cash in yearly releases.

 

I noticed. The point was people treat video games far more serious then they should. Like David "Game Overs Are A Failure For The Game Designers" Cage.

 

And this, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, is why you don't need a yearly release in your franchise to make more money than Buddha.
The anticipation, the build up, the hype, the wait, the slow feed of amazing information, the established recognition of your series, critical and commercial past success, fan and critics praise and showing off your game instead of talking about it... that is what builds up sales. CoD could've done this well instead if they had only released their games further apart rom one another, but they missed that boat

Anyway, off to Los Santos again to race across Vespucci beach sunset whilst listening to Queen sing Radio Ga Ga. Ah, this is the life.
