Whenever I do a search and click a search result it sends me to some stupid ads. Not sure if anybody here can help but I thought it wouldn't hurt to try.

How so? Does it send pop-ups or just normal ads on the side?

*checks the title of the section this thread is in* Is this a joke? xD

Sorry, I do not mean to be picky. I can assume that it might be your client...do you think you could access your search through google from a proxy? Regardless of result, you might have the DNSChanger virus thing...I might be stretching it a bit.

Is the problem something like this or this?
Both links have the solution there, it's quite a hassle though so I recommend first running a scan with malware bytes' anti-malware and if it's still notfixed then follow instructions in the links.

Here's an example. I type "kh-vids" into the search and then the results page shows up. I click the link to KH-Vids and a new tab opens with an ad and the only way I can get to the eite is by copying and pasting the site into the address bar.

The first one worked! Thanks man.
