As of yet it's just in Japan, but since Viz has licensed the new adaptation, there's a pretty good chance we'll be getting it sometime relatively soon, maybe first quarter of 2010. Being someone that watched the original anime and hated the way it ended, but read the manga and absolutely loved the ending, this is ****ing awesome. And if it's done right, will really do justice to the series. There are several things I'm looking forward to seeing (huge spoilers to those that just watched the anime): Spoiler Kikyou's death. The real one. The last one. NO MORE FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES. Kouga being less annoying. He actually helps for a few chapters, then loses his leg shards in a battle (same one where Kikyou dies), but then runs off and is never seen or heard from again in the series. Which made me a bit sad. All the enemies they encountered from 36 - 56. The final battle between InuYasha, Kagome, and Naraku. THE ENDING. Dear god I want to see this animated. Maaaaybe even add a bit to the ending too (wedding or even a kiss D: Come on, she's been gone for three years).
****. YES. >8D InuYasha was my first not "4Kids" anime, if you know what I mean. I loved it, but the ending of the series just made me go "wtf was that, dudez." I haven't read the manga (I'm not really a big manga reader (especially when there's over 50 volumes, that's like >$500 for the whole series)). So I don't know how it should have ended, but now I'm dying to find out. : D
YAY for InuYasha!.. I was on the edge of my seat reading this, I absolutely loved this anime and I'd be overjoyed to be able to see how it's originally supposed to end 8D.. (I started reading the manga because I didn't really enjoy the ending in the anime, but then they stopped selling the volumes where I live v.v)... This anime was my first that wasn't really for kids just like Scrubbing Bubbles, and I can't wait to see how it's all going to unravel.. I must tell this news to my best mate since she loved the series too >.>!
Yeeess! It's about time they pick this up again! There are so many animes out there that need to be redone or continued. Can't wait for 2010, then, because this just made my day :=D:
You could've just read the manga online. :/ And yes! The ending of the anime was just so horrible. I have something else to look forward to next year. 8D
So as of Saturday, episode two of TFA was released on Hulu (Kagura's Wind). I must say they are doing a fan-freaking-tastic job of staying canon to the manga; hell, I think some of the lines are exactly the same. Menoumaru is still a psychotic *******, yay. 8D And I really like how they did the Goraishi. OH GOD I KNOW 8DDD Though I'm looking forward more to Spoiler the giant floating spider Naraku and the following battle Which is why I reaaaaally hope they extend or add on a bit more to the ending. Holding hands is great, but come on. D:
Yes. xD I believe this Saturday's episode is Meidou Tenseiga, so I'm looking forward to that. xD But dear god they did a good job with Kagura's Wind, I was damn near tears. ._.
