Godmoding Arena

Here is something completely different than any RP I’ve seen. This is your basic battle arena thread but with a catch; godmoding is not only allowed it’s encouraged. In fact we were thinking of making it banned but then we realized that if you don’t you’d be owned in a few posts anyhow. Point being that your only limits are creativity and your own sanity.

Now you can only have OCs in here and all ability’s must be presented in the form. Techniques however you can keep a secret. There are three of us judging this (Legion, Ansem59, and myself) and every so often we will give out random awards. These can be anything from “longest post†to “most deserving of explosive cookies.†We will also DQ you if you do anything outside of your character’s bounds

When making your OC the required details are a name, weapon, and abilities. You can of course say anything else you want. The whole thing will take place as an every-man-for-themselves gladiator battle. Once a winner is decided it will restart with everyone back in. You can make changes to your apps but it won’t go into effect until the reset, which can be a looooooooooong time. And finally spectators are NPCs so anyone can add comments from the peanut gallery.

umm, but if everyone god mods, they could just say "Freddy throws Johnny off a cliff" and then the other person would have no character... and what's the story of this rp, anyways? There has to be some sort of plot ._.

 

well you could bring yourself back by saying... "but freddy only threw a fake dummy and johnny shot freddy..." easy... besides, everyone doesn't get to godmod, so here's your chance... and Im sure your character could come back anytime you want, right mixt?

 

Because everyone is godmoding there are countless ways to stop yourself from being killed. And an RP doesn't necessarily need a plot, but you can throw one into the mix fairly easily if you want.

I guess... the battle fields could be the fighters choosing... but this could lead to conflict if two people want different places... what do you think mixt?

 

At first I was thinking a standard arena. But come to think of it, it would be a lot more fun to generate it randomly each time. Also creates confusion in the characters which is really funny plotwise.

This is...stupid...God-Modding is against the rules, we're actually trying to stop it, and this is just an encouragement to continue godmodding.

 

well, to be blunt, it is a godmoding arena but we could still have random battle area's like a school... but we will be giving awards and such to people who can godmod the best and other awards like that

we are only encouraging god modding in this thread... not in every thread.

 

that's a good point... encouraging people to god mod in one thread might make them want to god mod in every thread...

 

It's everyone for themselves NOT one on one. And a Role Play doesn’t need a plotline exactly; you just need to play the role of a character.

If your looking for an in depth plotline this is not for you. If your looking for insanity and some good laughs. Step right up.

 

how is that? we are not telling anyone to god mod in any other thread than this one... and people should know that... if they don't then what does that say about them?

 

It becomes a simple habit. And its annoying, I despise people that godmod. This is like I said an encouragement, like take for example in real life, If someone starts a riot everyone else will join and it becomes a disaster or if someone kills and they get away with it then its okay. This is pretty much like that in the RP world, someone will rp godmod and then they will do it in other threads.

 

For some peope tis will work as a drai so th won't want to other places. For the people who gomod in serious threads (which happens even whout this) it is up to the RP creator to take care of it, but I offer my full support inhelping anyone keepgodmodingn heir threaduder control.

In legit threads godmoding is pretty bad, but the whole point of this board is to have fun so why not include the people who just want to goof off?

only in other threads. all the other threads completely bann godmodding so this is a place where their insanity becomes legal. Infact. if anyone on any other threads godmod just send them here so you don't have to deal with them

 

acctually, it's not legal in here... I believe the rules of the RP Arena itself ban godmodding... >>

Could you post a link becuse the only rule I found was the retry rule. Other than that is a suggestion thread fo RP makers. So it's a highly suggested rule but not mandatory.
