Well, first of all, I would recommend dropping the white border, or at least making it a bit less thick. Particularly because the bottom is at least one if not two pixels short on the width, and the white does not blend well with how dark the tag is by itself. I prefer symmetry and a matching light level in my borders. You might want to try making the text somewhat transparent, too; it stands out a bit too much right now. It is a focal unto itself. It looks good enough other than that, though. Nice depth and color choice. I would rate it at a five out of ten with the border in place as it is. On a side note, though: I know that brush that comes down to the back of his neck. Ah, good times.
There you go! Now it is a six out of ten. Much better; good job. Also: Gah! I have been robbed. And it looks just like it, too...
My biggest problem is the floating head issue you've got going on in there. Makaze was right about the white border, it wasn't working for you, but I wouldn't take off the border completely; maybe a dark gray (I avoid using pure black)? The C4D work under the text looks interesting, C4Ds are a lot of fun to work with, I definitely think you should stick with them for a while. You're off to a good start with this, just keep in mind that you should try to place them in a fashion that will create some sort of flow. Don't be afraid to layer/overlap them, either. =] I like the light, too, I just think you maybe could have taken it a bit farther, but it's no big deal.
