Chain of Memories GBA Original on Virtual Console?

Yeah I know what your all thinking "Play the PS2 version it is better because of the graphics", "Why would you even want to play that poor graphics game", or "Why do you want to go through the card battle system again?" blah blah blah. I actually enjoyed the GBA original MORE then the PS2 remake and I DONT CARE for graphics because they are NOT important in video games when the STORY IS MORE IMPORTANT.

Anyway, I would like to see this on Virtual Console for the 3DS so I wont have to worry about losing my GBA copy of it and I refuse to play it (and any other game) on the computer (using a emulator). It would actually give me a reason to give away my DS Lite because that is the only GBA game I have right now. I would like them to have the ability to use VS mode (that is all I ask but will unlikely happen).

GBA games are starting to be released on Virtual Console so why not Chain of Memories? What do you guys think? Should Square and Nintendo release Chan of Memories for Virtual Console? I think I would sure get it in a heartbeat.

Well, personally, I just like the PlayStation 2 version because of the wonderful graphics and additional abilities.

However, if I had to choose, I would go with the virtual version.
I'm guessing it would have better graphics than the Game Boy Advance version.

 

I am not talking about re:Chain of Memories being on virtual Console. I was talking about the GBA original not the PS2 remake.

 

I think it's a good idea. I mean, people can enjoy a game, even though there are "problems" ("" because it's subjective) with a game. I think it would be a good idea, always fun to have as many games as possible available.

 

This wouldn't be a bad idea. And there are many people that agree with this. And I agree that the graphics don't matter so much, they do a little but we can't miss what's important in the game, that is what you like of it.

Maybe this is another thing Square can do for the 10th Year Anniversary like what Nintendo did for the 25 years of Zelda.

 

I would not mind having this re-released on the virtual console, though I do not really care too much either way.

 

it wouldn't be a bad idea. it could be re-released as a DS-Ware so that both DS and 3DS users can enjoy it. if it happens, i do hope that the ability to fight your friends is retained because i heard that the GBA Ambassador games on 3DS don't have that capability.

Would be nice to see. I agree that graphics don't matter if the story is good, but I gotta say that Re: CoM added more to the story. But hey, if you liked the other one better, thats fine too!

 

You're right man! We need Chain of Memories on Virtual Console!!! I lost my GBA version *sniff* and I agree, I like the GBA version, I have watched the Remake, but I agree with you, the GBA is better.

 

No, they aren't. Nintendo gave people who bought the 3DS games before the price drop 10 free games and made it clear that these are the only GBA games the 3DS is ever going to get, and that no other GBA titles will be available through the VC.

So...this can pretty much be locked, because it isn't going to happen.

 

When I play with emulators I feel like there is nothing there. Like I wont get the real true experience if it isn't the real thing.

What are you talking about? in re:CoM everything was the same with the story (I have a very good memory).

Another reason for it to be great to have it in Virtual Console would be for fans to be able to play 4 KH games in their 3DS. 1 downloadable and 3 retail games :)

Anything is possible now with the 3DS. If you are able to play those games why not release more GB, GBC, and GBA games to Virtual Console. Also, I remember reading they are going to have them available for everyone sometime this year so it CAN happen.

 

The option of being able to use save states is grand. Sometimes though you just don't want to take the easy way out.

No, you don't remember reading that, because they never said that. They explicitly said these are the only GBA games that will ever be released

That would be nice, I don't use the 3DS much (lack of games) so CoM would be cool to play. And hopefully other GBA games too.
