Anyone heard of this group? There known mainly for the Main theme from the TV show, Justified. I got into their music after that, and got the album, which I really like. Oh, they're a group based out of New York that combine two... different genres. American country Bluegrass with RnB/Rapping type of style. I love how such different genres work together effectively. Type them in Youtube. Listen to their stuff. You'll be pleasently surprised.
I've actually listened to a bit of them, never exactly got into it. The genre mix is interesting, and that's made me listen to some of their work a bit more often. To be honest, I only discovered them a few months ago. They're interesting to say the least.
I just find the two genres actually have a lot in common. Both are rooted in Blues music, with types of folk music, but they also are quite modern with bass beats and shuffles. It's a brreath of fresh air from the same type of stuff I usually listen to. I rarely get into new bands easily. I recommend listening to 'Long Hard Times To Come' 'Pistol Packin' and 'Put your Hand Up High' if you haven't yet.
