Nintendo Gamestop introduces three exclusive 3DS XL designs

    These three new 3DS XL designs will be sold exlusively at Gamestop. The Super Smash Bros. one will go on sale on September 19, in red and blue variants. The NES one will follow on October 10. The Persona Q one comes last, on November 25.

    too bad the New 3ds and New 3ds xl are coming out soon 'cus these are slick

    That NES design looks amazing! Too bad I already have a 3DS, otherwise I would've bought it for sure.

    Wow the NES design is lazy. They've done an NES edition handheld before with the GBA SP. THAT was a damn fine looking NES throwback design. For this, they just made the buttons red and put an NES controller on the top.

    Also, I really like the Persona one. Really cool that it's designed after a book.

    Only one worth getting is the Persona one IMO. The NES looks cool I guess, trying to kick nostalgia in the older audience, but nothing too appealing. Same for the SSB 3DS. Having all the characters doesn't seem to fit very well. Persona has that nice design wthout being too cluttered.

    I'm actually hoping they release one for the Pokemon game like they did last year. I will trade my 3DS in a heartbeat if I could get it.

    Actually I think they might have done that last year with X and Y came out. I was going to get one but they were gone two weeks later. Limited edition makes me sad sometimes. I think there might be an Animal Crossing one too but I'm not sure.

    Okay, the New 3DS has two different models: There's the New 3DS, which is roughly the same size as the original 3DS, and there's the New 3DS XL, which is roughly the same size as the current 3DS XL. The Groudon/Kyogre models are the New 3DS, non-XL.

    Yeah, which is why I would never buy them. They're not the same size as the 3DS XL, even if they're slightly larger than the 3DS. That....and it's only in Japan and I'm not sure I want to play a game all in japanese where I have no clue what's going on

    The Persona one is ****ing awesome. The PR contact for Atlus USA frequently posts on Reddit and said they contacted the Atlus HQ about the new 3DS models right after they were announced, so idk how that will go. The NES one does look pretty disappointing imo, but the Smash Brothers one looks great.

    I'm actually really upset that these are coming out after they announced the New 3DS. I've been hyped about that Persona one for so long, and it's finally coming out, but it's already outdated hardware. THANKS NINTENDO

    I told myself I wouldn't buy into any of the 3DS upgrades since I already have the original model, but I'll be damned if I pass up that Persona Q XL. I actually don't even care about any of the better models that are coming out. This one looks so nice.
