Can anyone recommend me an action RPG game similar to the Kingdom Hearts or the Drakengard series? Preferably something that has hack-and-slash gameplay with levelng up, customization and stuff like that.
I haven't played it, but people claim the Dynasty Warriors series is similar There honestly aren't any games much like KH that I can think of, honestly, it's kinda its own unique thing. Final Fantasy 15 I guess
Yeah, there really aren't any games similar to Kingdom Hearts. If you want a great fast-paced action RPG though, Dragon's Dogma is where it's at. It's more realistic than Kingdom Hearts and isn't as focused on combos as KH is, but it has lots of action and it's easy one of the best ARPGs out there. Outside of that though, you're going to just have to search around. From Square there's really only Crisis Core, Type-0(which is a massive improvement over Crisis Core's combat but is only out in Japan), and FFXV. Well, if you feel like going old school, play Secret of Mana(or even Legend of Mana). It's one of the first action RPGs ever made. Oh, forgot to add in the Dark Cloud series as well. For PS2. Check those two games out.
Yeeeeeeah I agree. I haven't come across a game similar to KH yet. Sadly, I'm not to fond of my normal RPGS anymore, been obsessed with mmos. I can recomment Perfect World International or any game by Perfect World Entertainment. Also some League of Legends but thats the exact OPPOSITE of KH. xD
If you want something similar to Drakengard, there's always Nier. Made by the same studio and is a sequel to one of Drakengard (1)'s endings. It has hack and slash gameplay and a leveling system. Drakengard 3 is also coming out here next year, so there's that. Don't know anything else that is similar to what you want.
The only thing that comes to mind is Dark Cloud 1 & 2. Two extremely underrated, but really great games. There's plenty of customization and things to do in them - moreso in Dark Cloud 2 I would say. You could try one or both as they both have completely different characters and stories so aren't directly related.
Duuuude, I am so hyped for Drakengard 3. I haven't played the first two, but the third one just looks spectacular.
