Yeah, it just came out in theaters today and I saw it. It was freaking amazing! It wasn't really scary, it was more just building suspense and then a big shock you almost expect, but it makes you jump anyway sort of thing throughout the whole movie. Anyone else see it or plan to see it?

I saw it. It was so good! It had some of the most creative death scenes I've ever seen in a horror movie. It was a real shock to me when
Danielle Panabaker's character died. I thought she was gonna live.
Anyways, it was really good. If you haven't seen it yet, you need too!

Ew, no. That movie was a complete waste of my money. It takes the genre of Horror to a new all time low.

It was a waaaay too obvious plot line. They overly whored sex to a whole new level; I didn't even think that was fuuucking possible in horror movies. The deaths scenes were obnoxiously stupid. A majority of the acting was super ghey. It was NOT scary nor gruesome.

Don't waste your money on this movie. If you have any desire to see it wait until it comes to DVD and rent it or buy it from dish PPV for like three dollars. You'll be very disappointed if you go see it in theaters, FUUUCKING TRUST ME.

Go spend your money on a good film like The Uninvited. Good day, kind sirs.

Well, I'm pretty sure they followed the original ones closely when they made this one. That's why it seems so bad to you. I've seen some of the other Friday the 13th's and Jason X and they were pretty similar to this one, which I liked. It gave me a feeling of nostalgia. It's not like today's horror where it's more on gore and torture. This kind of horror is more suspenseful. It leaves you on the edge of your seat. You expect it to happen, but it still makes you jump when it does. It's all about the mood and the music, as well as any sound effects. Also, the whole thing with all the sex, that's classic Friday the 13th stuff. It's almost like he preys on sexually active teens and anyone who gets in his way. But, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean others won't. I for one loved it.

Sounds like a good movie. Now is this the remake of the second one, because the first one starred his Jason's mother. So I am guessing it wasn't intentionally the first one. It got the best box office during the weekend I found out by the broadcast.

I'm not sure if it's a remake. I heard the first two were his mother and the rest after were him. The earliest I've seen is the ending of the 4th one. The only other one I've seen to completion was Jason X, the others I only saw bits and pieces of.

I heard that they have changed a major part of it actually o_O

    I don't know, I haven't seen it.

I think I will watch it so that I can compare it to the original :D

When I first heard about it I was really excited about it, like I thought it would be pretty awesome, plus Jared Padalecki is hawt :D

However, not all that many people seem to have been impressed by it. So I think I will wait and download it obtain it legally once it is out of the big screen.

i think the part that they changed was the fact that when jason's mother was about to kill the laast camp director, but the director killed his mother by taking her head off, they said jason was there, alive, watching his mom get killed.then there was also
jason keeps a girl alive and chained up in this basement for almost the whole movie.

i've seen the movie and i liked it.there were some things i didn't like, but it was good.

I swear I thought I posted in this thread.
Anyway, I do want to see this movie. I heard it was good.
I haven't seen the first one though. It would be weird to just see the remake.

I heard that it's a remake of the first three or four movies but instead of having Jason's mother as the killer, they just decided for Jason to be the killer.

I get what you are saying, but I'm saying the whole thing was still too obvious. Yeah, there were things in it that could make you jump; IMO if you're not a regular to horror/suspense. Sorry, it was just too predictable for me and I didn't jump once.

I lol'd the entire movie. :V It seemed more like a comedy than suspense. But I'm just throwing down my opinion on the table. Most of the people I've talked to didn't like it either and thought it was extremely stupid. So I guess this is a love or hate movie, there's no happy medium.

    That helped it immensely. 8D

Yes, do it the legal way. ;D

I understand what you mean. I myself don't watch a lot of horror these days, since most of it's just filled with gore and torture. I don't mind a little gore, just not too much. And I absolutly can't stand torture. Anyway, as I said before, you're entitled to your opinion, everyone is, and I respect that you are voicing it.
