    how do you clean them?

I've worn glasses for about 3 years now and they are always filthy. When I try to clean them off it only smudges and makes them seem foggy and I hate it so much.

I've used glasses cleaner, cloth, pretty much everything that is used to clean glasses.
What is your method? I'm obviously doing something wrong.

I have one, that's what I use when I'm not at home. It doesn't really solve the problem, it just makes them slightly clearer, not cleaner.

I know exactly how you feel about this.

I usually use my shirt/jacket/whatever article of clothing is on my torso at the moment and look to make sure it isn't insanely smudged. If it is, I just wipe in a circular motion until it gets better.

I use a microfiber cloth, it works most of the time. And if it ever fails, wash with water, and whipe the water off with a completely non texture non bumpy smooth paper towel.

My tactic is quite easy I put my glasses in a glass of water when I sleep then dry then in the morning the wet frames wake me up so then I dry them with a towel and then use the cloth I got with them to wipe them and they are perfectly clean.

I can't stand dirty glasses. Some of my friend's glasses always look dirty/smudged and I just don't get how people let that happen. My glasses are almost always clean.

Anyway, I just use my shirt to clean my glasses.

A good cloth is nice. Something a bit thick with a higher friction to collect enough of the dust and dirt. Special types of glasses-cleaning cloth exist for this on the market, but depending on time and location you have to make do with what is present. If I am at school or at a party when I am not wearing an expensive tie, I typically use that as the cloth usually is excellent in collecting the dust and other things due to its electrostatic properties. Shirts are also sufficient when the time calls for them. If necessary one can use special cleaning fluid but water also works fine, albeit you must be careful with streaking on the lens.

I don't know how it happens either. It just happens.

How do you keep them clean?

I honestly don't do anything. They just stay clean. I usually only have to clean them a few times a day. I guess I'm just lucky, or have an oddly clean face?

I use my shirt, but I don't wear my glasses constantly (my vision really isn't all that bad).
    Try Windex.

I don't wear glasses but I see people breathing on them and then wiping in circular motions, or they are wearing contacts O.o

It's the same with me. I have no idea how, but my glasses are usually spotless (apart from the occasional eyelash or speck of dust, which I'll just blow off).
In fact, someone I know told me that I have the cleanest glasses they've ever seen. I was so proud. <3

A microfiber cloth is the best thing to use. Also having some lens cleaner (Purity Lens Cleaner is good) helps out with it. Makes them stay cleaner longer in my opinion. My brother has the same problem with his glasses and this works for him. ^-^
