No Thanks Food Section

I had an Idea. Why don't we have a food section for in the Creativity corner for those of us here who like cooking ect. We could have stuff like Kingodm Hearts related recepies and other stuff like that. Please tell me if it is a dumb suggestion. Thanks for reading.

Fave foods

Ok, looking at the Anything Else section, there are a lot of threads that say "whats your favourite flavour of chip?" or "What's your favourite food?"

I think it could be possible to make a sub-topic in Anything else (like how Creativity Corner has Original Work) for fave foods and all topics about favourite stuff.

Please delete this thread if you don't think its a good suggestion because I don't want to take up any space or anything for a stupid thrad!

 

Fave food sounds too broad and simple.

Fave sub-forum sounds ok.

 

A sub forum for "My Favourite Thngs" sounds good.

 

I agree with mastersword, if it's just fave food then it would be a bit plain and kind of boring.
If it's a subforum like "Favourite Things" then it will be a lot more open :)

 

A favourite sub-section might be awright, but threads askin what is you favourite thing aren't that common.

So, it's an ok idea, but it isn't really needed. It'll be kinda empty.

 

Well there's already enough Favorite threads as it is. If you want another thats somehow not made already, then just make a thread. If we keep making new areas for little things, then we wont have any use for an anything else section anymore. Plus, things like Favorite game and Favorite kh member and stuff would be better left in their respective sections.

 

Maybe we could broaden it even further and just have like.. 'survey thread's. Threads where you a question is asked, a reply is given and that's that. For example, favourites threads, 'who's your bff on khv', 'what's the worst way to die', ya get me? I vaguely remember that being brought up before and the idea was just kind of dismissed, but I'm still for it.

 

Bad idea. Those threads are getting rarer and they work fine for anything else...

 

Eh, I'd say no to this. There's few of these as it is, and a lot of them end up being moved to spam anyway because people fill them with spam. What would end up happening is that people would spam all the time and post-whore in there and it'd be worthless. The non-spam ones fit fine as it is in Anything Else.

If only if this was suggest sometime back, because they use to be all over the place. Nah, things seem fine now with the crazy fav threads.

 

Ok first, bad choice on title. Because when I first saw it I thought it was some lost noob who made a thread in the wrong section <_<
Second, it's a bad idea. Those kind of threads are incredibly useless in general, and are just for fun. Also, posts are always spammy in those threads, so if we did make a sub-forum for that, post should definitely not count. But why should we? Because what I just said is the basic definition of the spam zone.
It's better of if they were just made there.

 

What else would we put in the Anythin' else section then? :P

Actually, a survey type sub-form in the anythin' else section wouldn't be too bad. Only if thing's were to pick up though. Nothin' really appears there anymore.

It'd be nice, but.. it wouldn't be all that exciting either.

 

Hmm...I debate on this one. I do agree the title is not a very good one and perhaps if it were to be done, maybe Mish's suggestion of "surveys" would be a good idea. I'm torn on it as I think that could work but would it go over well and would people just still use the spam zone any way? It is kind of what the spam zone is for.

 

... Weren't favorite threads, like, abolished or something...? I swear I saw that in the rules.

 

Okay, I know this is a rejected idea, but it said if we could give valid points and reasons to add the section, we could post it again.

Soo, I was thinking of some "pros and cons" about the positive and the negative affects that would support a possible food section.

Pros or positive things

• A recipe thread, so people can share different recipes/recipe ideas that they made/are making. (maybe even compettions on the best recipe)
• A food section could be an active section, if we make debate threads (such as which country has the best food, etc) and simple discussion about different types of foods.
• Food is a hot topic (to some people) and it could be a very popular section.

Cons or negative things

• The section could be spammed easily by pointless threads (what did you have for breakfast/lunch/dinner threads, etc).
• It could be inactive due to lack of threads/ideas.
• Alot of people probably won`t want to post there, because they don`t like this idea.

That`s all I got. Most of these sound like ideas, rather than pros and cons.

This is probably going to get put back in the "Rejected Suggestions" thread.

So, yes or no?
