So this is the flooding we got back on January 18, 2011. We weren't affected. It was the west part of town where it's lower that got hit with it. Some homes were unlivable afterwards, but I can't remember if it was permanent or not. As for the east area where we live, all we saw were overflowing drains, but the water didn't get high enough to cause any damage. The problem in the west area is not only that it's lower, it's that the Yakima River's there. There are also creeks.
