Rating: A bit of strong language, and a bit of fluff. I'd say PG-13, to be safe. Well, I had fun with this. My first crack!Pairing fic. SQUEE! Anyways... this is for TheOtherKeyblade. Hope you like it! x~O~x~O~x Kairi shifted on the hard, wooden park bench and eyed Roxas oddly as he finished off his ice cream. He paused mid-lick, noticing her gaze. “What?†he asked innocently. She frowned and stared at him through violet-blue eyes. “Do you ever eat any other flavor?†Roxas looked at his ice cream and pouted. “But I happen to like my sea-salt ice cream!†“So?†Kairi asked, poking him. “Have you ever tried anything different?†“Once,†he mumbled, looking down. The dirt on the ground was suddenly very interesting. “Chocolate. I hated it.†“And that's why you've never tried another flavor again?†“Maybe,†Roxas replied, muttering. He raised his bright blue eyes to look at her. “What is this, Annoy Roxas Day?†He stood up and threw out the popsicle stick in a nearby trash can before offering his hand to her. “C'mon, let's go for a walk.†Kairi shrugged and grabbed his hand, pulling herself up. On her face was a little smile that Roxas had seen many times before. Nothing good could come out of that smile. He brushed it aside and dragged her off in the direction of the playground. “You know, I haven't been on a swing set in forever and...†----- “No.†“Please?†“No.†“Pretty please?†“No.†“Pretty please with a cherry on top?†“Hell no.†Kairi pursed her lips in annoyance and pushed the ice cream bowl a little closer to Roxas. He responded by staring at it as if it was full of poison. “I am not eating that.†“It's ice cream, Roxas,†Kairi persisted. “You eat it everyday... a new flavor's not going to kill you. Now come on, people are staring.†It was true. The local ice cream parlor was never a good place to try and have a private conversation. The people there were too nosy for their own good. Roxas, however, didn't seem to care. “Let them,†he retorted, scowling. “Fine, be that way,†Kairi scoffed. She turned away from him and there was silence between the two of them. As a matter of fact, there was complete silence in the ice cream parlor, as well. Were they all eavesdroppers? “...†“...†“...†“...†“...†Finally, Roxas could stand it no longer. “Look, if I puke up my guts, it's going all over you,†he said, exasperatedly running a hand through his blond hair. Kairi turned and smiled delightedly. “I'll take what I can get... go on, try it.†Roxas picked up a spoonful of the ice cream and stared at it. Kairi watched him expectantly as he drew it closer and closer to his mouth. Then... “What are you all looking at?†Roxas demanded, glaring at all the other customers in the ice cream parlor. They all began chattering nervously with each other and avoiding Roxas's gaze. One brave little boy dared to look at Roxas and immediately jumped up and ran around, crying for his mommy. Kairi frowned at Roxas and slapped his shoulder. “Okay, nobody's looking... Now stop stalling and eat the damn ice cream!†Roxas flinched. “Okay, okay, geez. Has anyone ever told you that you should look into some anger management courses? Because I...†“Roxas,†she said dangerously. He sighed. “Alright, alright.†He brought the spoon to his mouth again... and paused—again. It was a wonder the ice cream hadn't melted yet. “Kairi,†he said in all seriousness, “if I die, I'd like you to have my Beanie Baby collection.†Kairi blinked. “You have a Beanie Baby collection? ...Wait, just stop trying to distract me and just eat the ice cream already!†“Here goes,†Roxas murmured. He swallowed hard and shoved the spoon into his mouth. Kairi waited... and waited... and waited some more... “Well?†Roxas sat in silence, the spoon back in the bowl. “Roxas, answer me. Do you like it?†Silence. Then Roxas spoke. “I don't know.†Kairi drew closer and peered into his face. “What do you mean you don't know? Is it good or not?†“What flavor is it?†Kairi rolled her eyes, annoyed, but she decided to play along. “The ice cream is vanilla. That brown stuff on top is cinnamon.†“Cinnamon, huh?†he murmured. “It tastes good...†He suddenly moved forward and kissed her. Startled, Kairi jumped a little and he drew back so his face was mere inches from hers. A mischievous grin played across his lips and he said in a low voic€œBut not as good as you.†Kairi smirked and returned the kissed for a few seconds before drawing back and leaning on his shoulder. After a minute, she spoke up. “Roxas?†“Hm?†“Finish your ice cream.†-fin-
JUST EAT THE DAMN ICE CREAM!!!!! That sounds like something i would say to my brother XD. he will only eat vanillia. I think that the cinnimon was messed with. Kairi......what did u do to it..................... lol. Its good. Keep goin with it
XD. If this were an original one-shot, it'd be very cute. The writing isn't bad, just it was a *tad* too OOC for my liking. It's not horrible of course, just I think the characters could've been a little more curved toward their in-game personality. However, the majority of this was probably from the dialogue itself, rather than the overall disposition of each character (ex. Anger Management comment, Beanie Baby collection comment, etc). Also, the ending I felt was a little sudden and unprepared. While I think you meant it to come as a surprise, I think it required a little bit of preparation as I don't think it's obvious as to whether or not the two are already dating or not prior to the start of this one-shot. I personally thought they were just friends up until the end, so the kiss at the end surprised me. It's not bad though, I enjoyed it overall. Good job. ^^

Nice. I like it. Cute and simple with a hint of humour. I would assume that it is more of a 21st century type of oneshot with Roxas and Kairi in our modern life and not based in Twilight Town. I also was surprised from the kiss since I assumed they were friends. However, it was a nice touch, nonetheless. :D
Yes, it is. I might rewrite it a little to better establish their relationship, since it seems like they are just friends to other people, too. Thank you for revieweing it. :D
See, no Regrets! xD That was beautiful for your first Crack!shipping. It's hard to write, the whole "Why-the-heck" feeling over your shoulder the entire time you're writing. But then you come out with this and it really dosn't matter. ::sigh:: i really need to learn to stop rambling. I can see what ロクサス is saying about OCC of characters, but I find it intresting with it. Roxas with a beanie baby collection made be giggle. After all this is Crack!shippings... It's allowed to be a little crazy. Well if you couldn't tell I really loved it. You should write more of these little crazies. :D That was fun. We should do it again some time. :D
Yes, Kairi, you should know that if you want a love potion, you should go to see Merlin and not Vexen......... My early work is scary (aka,. the one im writting right now......) it might be even more than scary:D
*phew* Much thanks. I was worried about it... and it's true. My friend was reading it while I was writing and saying, "How is that possible? Roxas is a Nobody, so he can't exist and Kairi can't touch him." Well... anyways. I have to write Crackshippings some more some time. They're quite amusing. XD Glad you liked it! :D
